The simple truth is you are afraid to know more, and have the objectivity of some religious fanatic more concrnned with defending your faith in the Board than the best interests of the club.
And you don't have the proof, and don't have the courage to say so. I doesn't take long to prodice the proof at all - you don''t have it and can't admit it.
If you thought you had the proof you'd be more than happy to share it as you have shown before. You don't have that proof now but can't just admit that.
I've only just read this gem from yesterday.
Just a few points martin.....
1. I'm not afraid of knowledge (derrr)
2. comparing me to a religious fanatic is a bit rich coming from you
3. I do have the best interests of the club at heart
4. I have no proof at all that AW is chosing not to spend money
5. I'm not afraid to admit it, ffs
I gave my honest opinion that AW is choosing not to spend.
Your post in response is utter, utter bollocks. Fucking hilarious.
If you have no proof to justify any of your beliefs why don't you want to know whether they are justified or not olgit and I think it's clear you don't want to know that. Is it not in the club's best interest for supporters to want to know the truth? So why are so willing to settle for perpetual doubt about these issues?

There is absolutely no way that we can prove that my beliefs are justified. Or whether your beliefs are justified.
Sure, I'd like some answers. Maybe when AW writes a book of memoirs we will have the "truth".
In the meantime, you ought to refrain from suggesting that I "don't want to know" or that I'm "willing to settle for perpetual doubt".

Those are ridiculous statements.
Are they? You have gone to any length necessary to discourage trying to seek more information
USMartin wrote:There was no accusation that the Club hasn't been active in the community. Simply that the Board's current policies may reflect a self-interest that is not in line with what the people of the community believe their policies should be.
I think you will find the Arsenal "Community" want two or three decent signings and a defensive coach and will be happy.
The majority are asking questions of Wenger, as to why he spends his money on players like Denilson rather than more appealing options.
The majority are not asking disquieting questions of quipster Peter Hill-Wood and the board as to why they keep quite a tight budget, instead of going for a transfer quick fix, the reasons are self apparent.
Really hope you manage to get your articles/letters on arsenalnewsreview.co.uk, Arseblog, Gunnerblog and The Swiss Rambler, am very interested to see what they make of your opinions.

Laughable bullshit.
Why on Earth would I not want information?
I would love to be in the Arsenal inner circle. I am not. You are not. Therefore information will not be available to you or I. Simple.
USMartin, you are an absolute wanker for suggesting that just beacuse people diasgree with you that they "don't want to know the truth". It's not the first time you've done it either and always seems to pop up when people challenge your views.
I suggest you promptly drop that line of 'argument' as it's making you look like someone with mental problems who sticks their fingers in their ears and screams blabberish.

I may be a wanker but not for the reasons you suggest mate.
I say if people don't believe the Board will provide the honest information then they should be outraged wiith the Board. Instead you seem to want to believe because you don't know for sure that everything is fine.
I think you may be the absolute wanker because you use the Board's lack of candor to defend them at every tun. When I say this it's not because people are challenign my views - indeed they are not. They are relying on their faith in the Boaard being unique among boards in its purely benevolent unselfish approach to runningb the club.
Too many like you say because you don't know for sure there must be nothing wrong.

There you go again like a slimey piece of shit. How the fuck do you know that i "want to believe because i don't know for sure that everything is fine". And how the fuck can you say that i defend the board at every turn? And when the fuck did i EVER say that "because i don't know for sure there must be nothing wrong".
I am amazed as to how you managed to make those assumptions about me and reach into my mind and figure out what i was thinking all from a simple post telling you to stop accusing people of not wanting to know the truth.
Let me copy and past my post again and i defy you to find within it where i have said the following as you claim:
A) That i "want to believe the board because i don't know for sure that everything is fine"
B) that i defend the board at every turn
C) "because i don't know for sure there must be nothing wrong"
"USMartin, you are an absolute wanker for suggesting that just beacuse people diasgree with you that they "don't want to know the truth". It's not the first time you've done it either and always seems to pop up when people challenge your views.

Go on. Show me where in that quote i said those words that you just put into my mouth.
Hill-Wood said in the Daily Star last week that they would not spend silly money because they could not compete with Chelsea and Man City, so we are developing youth.
The club has structured debt, with the balance sheets posted online for all to read, showing we have cash to spend if there is a crisis or if Wenger identifies a player he really wants.
We all want (perhaps even demand) more players and better defensive coaching.
Yet I fail to see what big secret the board are supposed to be hiding!
Are they alien reptiles in human bodies, linked to an ancient Babylonian serpent cult?
Are you in cohorts with David Icke?
Joking aside, as @Olgit says, I too would love to be an "insider", but because I am not, I am realistic and I do not expect to know the ins and outs of all that goes on at the club.
Chill out Martin.
Stop having a go at decent people on here who do not share your obsession with the board, and if you are so concerned about the board and convinced of your vitality, step up to the big cyber league.
Argue your case with the semi-pros: Arsenal News Review, Swiss Rambler, Gunnerblog and Arseblog.

M as I say you simply have no desire that I have seen to try to seek the information we as supporters should weant and frankly deserve to have, and have shown disdain for anyone who has suggested that, particularly myself.
You have done so with such consistency that it is perfectly reasonable to sufggest you have no desire to seek that information and given you trust that you have in the past stated in the Club and the Board its perfectly fair to conclude that your lack of desire to inquire about these issues indicates a preference to remain in the dark and to assume everything is fine.
.
If I am wrong then why are so reluctant to simply seek that information, since while the Board may not be willing to to consider the supporters feelings as many fear and perhaps justifably it does not excuse not putting that to the test because they might just suprise pleasantly.
Beyond that if they are unwilling to consider our feelings and tell us more that tells us just where they stand doesn't it?
So why not try to get the information - why not join in seeking it. The worst thing that cnat happen is they refuse to address our concerns, and that is an answer in itself.
If I am so wrong then you should want the same thing I do which is the truth.
Martin, Quartz sums it up perfectly. it has been repeatadly said by Gazidis, Wenger and other that there is money there to be spent if Wenger wants to spend it. There is no big conspiracy here that the board are withholding any information about anything to do with the clubs accounts. Its a sad fact that we cant compete with the other teams and spend 30-50 million on a player but thats how the club has always been run and certainly not just a new mind frame post 2005. We have never gone out and spent big bucks.

The cash is there but you have not one sliver of evidence that it is genuinely available to the manager other than the Board's word. Of course they insisted even after it was clearly untrue that the New stadium would have no impact on our team building or transfer budgets -of course they never mentioned the unecessary re-development of Highbury did they, only the new stadium.
But then the Board telling the truth 100% of time is not required from you is it? Having 100% proof that they are acting in the club'sd interest in unecessary because you cannot conceive of anything else can you by the look of it, although you demand 100% proof that they aren't.
And that would perfectly valid except you accept the Board's word without question even when actual facts challange because believuing them is more important than what may or may not be thetruth.
Otherwise how do you explain the fact that you do not have to have proof of their honorable intentions even when you insist those who question them must have 100% proof or their questions are simply wrong and unfair. Would you care to explain that?
