But what have you seen that gives any indication of us doing whats required, and relying on other teams to help us out? We have a clueless manager, doesnt understand tactics, rarely shows any emotion on the bench, except when moaning to the 4th official, fails to strengthen when its so obvious, and now we have even more injuries to a pretty average defence, shit squad players etc, think 3rd of 4th is the best we can hope forChippy wrote:My brain tells me that we are not good enough to win the League but my heart says this is the worst top 5 since the mid 90s, and the best bottom 10, so we have a chance!

That's what I meant about my head. But if I don't think a single person on this forum or even in the world would have predicted the way the Prem has gone this season. Chavs were running away with it and then went on their worst run for decades. We've lost and drawn really stupid games but are only 4 points behind manure and they have a much tougher run in. This is a bizarre season and will probably have a bizarre ending!GoonerN5 wrote:But what have you seen that gives any indication of us doing whats required, and relying on other teams to help us out? I really cannot see us avoiding defeat in all of the following games:
Mancs
Blackpool away
Bolton away
Fulham away
Stoke away
WBA away
Liverpool
**** away
If people think we will win even 5 of those games, with these players plus referees, then they are sadly deluded.

Thats 8 hard games, this easy run in stuff is bollocks. I think it gets into the players heads as well.

I bet the players were laughing and joking at half time today, thinking job done and all that, bunch of *word censored*, that goes for Wenger tooIrish Gooner wrote:nearly forgot.GoonerN5 wrote:Dont forget the y**s away as wellIrish Gooner wrote:I really cannot see us avoiding defeat in all of the following games:

We have still got the best away record in the league and think we can win 5 of those games, but that still might not be enough!Irish Gooner wrote:I really cannot see us avoiding defeat in all of the following games:

Today's result was obviously a complete disaster, but I don't think our league position is. Granted, we could be coasting it by now if we'd finished off teams who we should have, but to be just four points behind the leaders in spite of all this suggests that we must be doing something right.
Personally, I don't think we'll win the league, but the opportunity is still there. If we beat Man Utd at the Emirates, for instance, we'd just need to make up one more point over the course of the season - and with Utd still having to play Chelsea (twice), Man City, Liverpool and Sunderland (away), there's definitely room for maneouvre. And I don't think that, at this stage, we necessarily need to win all of our remaining games to guarantee the title.
Sure, it'd help, but it's not essential just yet. However, if we fail to beat Wolves next weekend, we can forget about it.
Unless Man City win at OT, that is.
My head hurts.
