Why is it that whenever we're involved in a Premier League 'classic' these days (the likes of which are shown on ESPN Classic and highlight shows for years to come), we're always on the wrong end of the result, as it were?

Liverpoool (a), 4-4: conceded the equaliser in injury time

Tottenham (h), 4-4: conceded two goals right at the end

Wigan (a), 3-2: capitulated in the last ten minutes

Newcastle (a), 4-4: you know the story

That's what makes today even worse - channels such as Sky/ESPN will be replaying it for years, meaning we can never really forget it. FFS.

Wengers after game match interview confirmed my thoughts we will never win the league with him again.

No other manager would chat the shit he did today. Disgraceful, that he claims "there are plenty of positives to be taken".

He treats us like mugs. I wouldnt like to be coming back from Geordie land after today to hear that.

If you have any doubts about the dodgy decisions then you didn't watch the match.

It was a stitch-up as bad as the best that mike riley can provide.
Don't let Wenger off the hook on this one olgit. 'Mentally strong' teams do not fold like a piece of shit.
With respect, I'm not trying to let Wenger off the hook.

Some of his decisions are totally shit. Like taking Walcott off today. And playing Eboue.

What I'm saying is that we would have come away with three points today if the defence had done it's job properly.
Sorted for you olgit. 8)

Seriously though, if Wenger isn't the problem even when a 4-0 lead is squandered by a side he picked and players he bought, then will he ever be held properly accountable by some people? :? :?

You know what pisses me off more than anything? we fucking beat ourselves today, aside form one cracking goal the rest were all an inability to defend set pieces. Pardew didn't say anything at half time - he didn't need to because we laid on a plate for them.

AND it's not a freak result we can put down to just one of those days. Spurs this season - a free kick, a stupid fucking hand ball when defending a free kick - penatly another goal. Wigan last season - two corners two goals. Even when we give away penalties it's as a result of defending a set piece.

I work in IT, if I can see it why can't the Mad Professor. Intelligent guy, speaks 5 langauges, degree in Economics and he let's this happen time and time again, and it will happen again.

Speechless and still in shock. Each time Ihear it reported on the radio it turns my stomach.

Not good enough Arsene.

I would love to hear what positives can be taken from the match

Taking a 4-0 lead inside 30 minutes, perhaps?

Sure seemed like a 'positive' at the time.

we played very well first 30 granted, but shambolic defending helped add to that tally.

i just could not see any other manager come out after losing a 4 goal lead and saying there are positives to be taken.

The players needed a good bollocking there and then. Wenger should be saying the players werent good enough, disgraceful in defense in fact and that certain players can forget about playing again until they prove their worth.

I dont want to hear about positives.

Even Louder couldnt defend that second half.

Or that piece of crap Diaby got sent off. Maybe that's a 'positive' too

All I'm saying is that our attacking was a positive. We've never scored four goals at Newcastle in the PL, and doing so inside half hour was pretty immense.

Obviously, it then all went to shit, but I'd imagine that this is the 'positive' AW was referring to.

Well, Eboue didn't completely embarrass himself when he came on.

And yet still did enough to amass a whopping 0% on the Arsenal.com MOTM poll.

Because Wenger doesnt do defence. If he did he would get Keown in or promote Bouldly to be defensive coach to teach our defence to defend set pieces.

Excuses, Excuses, Excuses. Cover your arse Wenger. Never ever admit that this defence are not good enough, especially when Djourou is out (knee injury so he's possibly going to miss Barca). We're so hit or miss, no consistency and once we lose a goal we fold like a house of cards
Wenger you are a pathetic excuse of a man. Stop the bullshit, stop the lies, stop the excuses and sort this out! Squillaci is fucking embarrassing, he's not even a championship player and yet he's going to be first choice for the next couple of weeks minimum more than likely!
We are fucked more than ever because every single team we play from now are going to think they can turn round a 2 or 3 goal deficit because a poor Newcastle team scored 4. Can we finish outside the top 4 I wonder? Too bloody right it can happen.
