Ramsey today.

Surpised people saying he had an awful game. Looked hesitant in a challenge where he actually set up Bothroyd but apart from that a lot of neat passing on a bad pitch. Started the build up for the goal where he re joined the move to lay it off for the goal. Lovely reverse pass late on.

Guess we were watching a different game!

Ramsey may well play in one of the attacking midfielder positions where he has to tackle less, and let Wilshere and Song carry on in deep midfield where there are more tackles.
Ramsey is good at running into the box so it would play to one of his strengths.

I thought with the blood and thunder of this game and some of the tackles that were flying in, i thought Aaron played very well. When on the ball he used it wisely and when given a chance he went for goal.

Personally, i believe he needs games like this and i feel people are unrealistic with what they are saying. He had a terrible injury and has played four matches since.....give the lad sometime, he will come good. If he had broken his leg ten years ago his career would have been over....lets just wait and allow him to develop.

Time will heal his mental wounds and a full pre-season should do the lad wonders.

Just finished watching the derby. Fucking CC :(

Anyway, Ramsey played excellent as far as I'm concerned. Great passing and composure on the ball. Sure he wasn't flying into tackles all over the pitch, but he didn't really need to for much of the game. He set up a great weighted pass for Bellamy on a cheeky backheel, and all game he was one of the most dangerous playmakers for Cardiff.

JET came on late, too little too late to make much of an impact.

It will remain to be seen if it works out for AR but he is still part of the future of the AFC and like all Gooners I wish him well at Cardiff and for his comeback in general. Early days to judge but it was evident last season that the boy has talent, excellent vision and a good finisher. He would link up nicely with JW. Lets hope we all get to see it? C'mon you Reds.

He has pulled out of the meaningless friendly Wales v ROI.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/footbal ... 385763.stm

While 20-year-old playmaker Ramsey feels he is not ready to play two difficult games in two-and-a-half days after just recovering his match fitness following surgery to fix a horrific double leg break.

I do not think anyone on here thinks he is the saviour of the club. I just think a few, like me, when JET is named as a substitute would be interested to see if he can do better than Bendtner or Vela .

But I think JET will not make it with us from what I have seen so far, he is another Diaby, too long on the ball, overplays it.

I think the injury has done some mental damage, he looks to be afraid of his shadow.

must be watching the wrong game :?
Made a few nice passes, lst the ball alot though and was nervous near tackles. Also didnt make any tackles from what i seen.

Absolutely right IG. I've seen him on three occasions now and he hasn't gone anywhere a tackle in any game. It's a shame but perfectly understandable. I hope to be proved wrong but I think he's finished at the top level.

Get a grip guys.............it will take him another year at least before he is really confident again and any niggling pain subsides but it will come, he is very young so he has that on his side.

He has to take over from fabregas next season, so he better be ready - otherwise we'd have to spend some money, for fucks sake.

 :banghead:
