Gael Clichy, what to do?
His form this year has been very patchy to say the least (as has been mentioned before). But what worries me most that almost every team we seem to play against is now targeting him.
Almost all of the problems seem to come from our left (this may be even more highlighted by the return to form of Sagne), his continual need to dive in and win the ball and failure to stop crosses is really making it worse for our already creaking defence!! He is still quick across the ground but that is not always going to get him out of trouble.
I don't want to blame him for all of the problems we are having but surely being as out of form as he is Gibbs must be given his chance to get a run of games under his belt and see if that makes us more solid

No Gibbs has looked even more uncertain than Clichy.jrthgooner wrote:His form this year has been very patchy to say the least (as has been mentioned before). But what worries me most that almost every team we seem to play against is now targeting him.

To be honest this is the least of the worries at Asrenal
Re: Gael Clichy, what to do?
bit unfair to be honest as he doesnt get cover from whoever is playing in front of him but he has been much better than last seasonjrthgooner wrote:His form this year has been very patchy to say the least (as has been mentioned before). When you consider the job Jack and Song have been doing in the middle. In front of what I think is an underrated pairing of Koz and Djourou. Sagna keeping his "Mr. Reliable" act up on the right. I think "they" would end up focused on our left by default. It's true he doesn't get a lot of cover and he does worry me at times but he seems to be "on the up". Glad to see him keeping Evra out of the French team. Or maybe its just Evra keeping Evra out. Definitely a Dickhead that one.
