As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Put Newcastle out of your mind, it was a freak fucking result that will never be repeated.
The actual scoreline may never be repeated, but the manor of the capitulation has happened on at least 4 occasions in the last few seasons, and has threatened on quite a few more.
So how can anyone put it out of their mind.
It is impossible to relax or feel a game is won with this team, until the final whistle blows, no matter what the scoreline during the game.

While I think you are wrong in not blaming the Board I agree fully that this is not so much of freak result. From 1998-2005 we never blew a three-goal lead once, abd blew a two goal lead three times and dropped points twice and lost once. Since 2006 we he blown three goal leads twice and two goal leads several times and dopped points at least four of them and lost twice. No way around that. What excatly the problem is less certain.
Likely a combination of decreased investment in the team, less quality experience and confidence in the players we do have, the failure to provide adequate cover in front of the back four(a priority in the teams from 1998-2005) and the lack of quality reserves (another priority from 1998-2005) in the event of key players being injured.

Had seen us lose many times at highbury over the years (at one stage I couldnt actually remember a home win in a game I attended ) but had never seen us lose at the grove before the capitulation v the scum this season What a game to collapse in and what a way to collapse as well You could never with any certainty put money on this Arsenal team (unless you are rosicky of course ) so god knows what will happen on saturday

mikey I didn't see your post in reply to my question.
Frankly I call bullshit. There is no disputing what the mjroity of my posts are about but the idea that that is all I post about is rubbish.
I think that is what you want to believe and or even maybe what you see largely but this is very much a case of perception becoming reality as happened with our disciplinary record being used to prove we were a dirty team under Arsene Wenger which simply is not true but tell that to the media. Perception becomes reallity.
Same here I post a lot about the Bopard and it becomes I only post about the Board. Buyt take a look - seriously then tell my that's all I post about. I won't deny its mostly wjhat i post about but going beyond that is untrue and unfair frankly.

Martin you need to put your efforts to better use. Write letters , start a blog page. Maybe you can make a difference or get noticed on a more public scale.
I don’t mind your posts it just gets annoying when you go off topic on certain threads.
