HOTEL IN MANCHESTER

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Can anyone suggest somewhere good to stay in the centre of Manchester?
Also, where is everyone drinking before the game? Im thinking the sports bar.

Im staying in the Macdonald hotel mate. 4 star, next to picadilly station, 136 for double room on lastminute

Hello fello gooners, been lurking on here for about a month and thought i'd finally speak up. been regulary going to home games since 1993 and last couple of seasons been attending more away games because of the great atmosphere compared to the emirates these days, miss the good old days in the northbank :(

anyway to answer your question...

i've booked a room with my mates in the jury's inn. Stayed there before, quality location for nightlife and only 10mins from old trafford by metrolink.

Ive actually come accross both hotesl during my search.

How much is the Jury's Inn please Gooner Shillz?

there are 4 of us so im guessing we will need 2 rooms.

Manchester wants to lock up its daughter that night!

There are 3 of us staying up there. Got a room for £115 for 3 adults on active hotels. The hotel is right next to the deansgate locks where there are some quality bars, and loads of nice ladies! gonna be a quality day and night!!

that might be a good shout then as it looks like there is only 3 of us now.

I wanna be in the centre of town really though.

Can you suggest any good clubs to go to?

Give Rio a call - He'll find a nice hotel, good club and probably lay on a couple of hundred slappers.

Might need to hire a solicitor in advance though. :roll: :wink:

yea the only problem is 2 of you might have to share a double bed! me and my mates are gonna be fighting over the single! But were probably be so pissed up we won't care where we sleep!

The bars at the locks are all open till late. And there is also somehwere called the printworks, which is a complex with bars and clubs, not been there tho so can't really comment to much on it.

I do mind top and tailing with someone. Hopefully one of us will get lucky and not need the hotel!!!

Ive heard the printworks is good. Im gonna ask about and find out which club is the best.

What a dream day it could be, Arsenal win, get boozed up and nosh from a pure chick to end the weekend!

well the birds are quite friendly up there from my last experience, so someone is bound to get lucky!

just need to work out where to drink before the game. Any ideas??

I was looking for a hotel in the centre a couple of days ago and it seems all the cheap options are already full.

In the end I got a double at the Novotel for £99. I couldn't book it through their own website as it said it was full but if you go through

www.superbreak.com then there was room.

It's in Dickenson street.
