No frikken beer at half, fuck me sideways and cum on my jeans. I always forget that and always turn up unprepared. Thanks for reminding me and ill be filling up the miniatures with some 50% proof hellfire tonight.

That dosent bode well for people getting there early if it means eating into your precious beer time.

MM99, I think that you are slightly misunderstanding what I am saying - what bbp was saying was a joke pure and simple and taking it as disrespecting our club is ridiculous imo. When people on here take the piss out of me or you or whoever all you can do is laugh with them cos otherwise you would go round the twist and that is just the way the world is nowadays. Look around and see all the really serious shit going on in the world today and ask yourself if it is really worth getting worked up over something that was just meant as a joke

And like i said, augie, it can be seen as a joke when it's done once or twice, but when it happens literally every other post how can you not see it as disrespecting the club you are supposed to be supporting?

For example, I've seen people make jokes about Wenger's stubborness on here and i've laughed at them the first few times they were told. But when someone starts using that 'joke' at every available opportunity they get, in an almost malicious way, you do start to wonder why someone would continously take the piss out of a club that they supposedly love.

So yeah, i do take issue with people who call themselves Arsenal fans, but then never give up an opportunity to rip into the club. For me, that's going beyond a simple 'joke'. Maybe it's because i'm from the mindset that i hate to see other fans slagging off the team that i love, and i don't let them take liberties, so when i see so called Arsenal fans doing it to their own team it pisses me off.

Agree with you about there being more important things in life to get pissed off about, but then again the same can be said to all those on here who blow their top off when Eboue gets a new contract

Maybe it's because some people genuinely believe that Wenger is stubborn, and that they aren't joking. If they see it as a legitimate weakness, then it is going to come up in discussion for as long as the perceived problem continues.

Firstly you seem to be getting confused between people slating wenger's stubborness and seeing that as a knock on the club cos wenger and the club are not one and the same (though many on here would state otherwise  )

Secondly the awarding of eboue a new contract is just wrong......wrong on sooooo many levels

Lastly I do believe that your slating of denilson was the first time I have read anything even vaguely negative from you
I have always said to give all those tinters time and they will see the light

What else you have liked RA to have done to improve atmosphere?

We are all within our rights to slag off Wenger and the players as much as we like. Charge the highest ticket prices but never win a major trophy is there any wonder there is a backlash.

Only thing I don’t like is when REDaction get so much abuse, or when we as fans get abused for not being loud enough by fans that don’t even go matches.

Apart from that slag off what you like as I will probably agree with most of it within reason.

ps wenger is still a stuborn old *word censored* who should of got a cb

I do go to matches, but only 10 home games a season.

Sorry but the plastic flag idea is so unoriginal- I heard about massive flags like on the kop instead- still at least they're doing something I suppose.

Chill out mikey anyone would think your dad is the head of REDaction :? REDaction doesnt get 'so much abuse' many people think they have their heart in the right place even if they dont agree with some of the things they do, its a hard job to get an atmosphere in that soul less bowl and to be fair apart from 'your' blocks they havent achieved that much but as i said its a hard job and marching for Wenger aside :x they do a good job but if they werent so involved with the club it could be better? Maybe :?

Like you said mate, this is your issue. Deal with it how you will. But you seem to be the only person affended by this.

I am a realist, I AM an Arsenal fan, and I preffer to laugh than to moan. We all remember how we were given a football lesson by Barcelona last year and I can smile about it because I know that Barcelona are the greatest football team on the planet and that is what this 'joke' is refering to.

So come on mate, turn that frown upside down  :)

Agreed.
I know most of us slag of the atmosphere and criticise stuff with the Grove but they are fans like all of us that are trying to do something.

I'm not part of RA but many seem to have a view about them or what they're doing...or not.
Why waste time in complaining about certain issues or criticising RA themselves and do something about it yourself. That's all there trying to do.
If need be write to them or even join there mailing list.

The Wenger thing was just an example i gave quickly about how something that was funny at first quickly becomes annoying and repetative. LIke for example saying "we wont buy player X because he costs more than £1.40". Ok that can be seen as a joke the first couple of times, but when certain posters try and throw that in at every opporutunity everytime Arsenal are linked with a player it moves away from being 'simply a joke' and something that is used to ridicule the manager and club with. That is not to say, by the way, that people shouldn't be critical of the manager. Just that some people use the excuse of 'its just a joke' to rip into the club that is in essence hugely disrespectful to a team that they are supposedly meant to be supporting.

The reason why you probably haven't seen much negativity on these boards from me is because there are plenty of other posters out there making those points already so theres not much more i can add! I prefer to add my views in areas where i think there is an injustice, either towards a player, or the manager, or the club itself.
Just to clarify my position though, i see myself as neither a rosetinter nor a pessimist. I take a pretty relaxed approach in life and i try to not let things bother me too much and i reckon this comes out in my views on Arsenal too. If an article was to be published today showing that NB52 had bought a new £250,000 ferrari for himself there will no doubt be many posters who would be fuming and calling him a *word censored*. I, on the other hand, would not let it bother me at all. It's his money, he can spend it how he likes. Because like you said before, there are more important things in life for us to be angry about than things like that.
So if someone was to start calling NB52 a *word censored* for that reason, i would defend him and some would then label me as a rosetinter for doing so. That is not to say that i think he is good enough for the Arsenal though and if i had my way i'd ship him out asap.

All in all, whilst i accept that there are people that inevitably don't agree with the payers/management/the club in general and will criticise them, i take issue with someone taking the piss out of the club for the sake of it. In my opinion, no self respecting fan should mock the club they claim to support. A joke once in a while can be very funny, but when someone continously takes the approach of taking the piss out of the club at every given opportunity, you do wonder why they are supporting the club in the first place.
