REDaction Update - Its the big one!

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Secondly the awarding of eboue a new contract is just wrong......wrong on sooooo many levels

Lastly I do believe that your slating of denilson was the first time I have read anything even vaguely negative from you
I have always said to give all those tinters time and they will see the light
The Wenger thing was just an example i gave quickly about how something that was funny at first quickly becomes annoying and repetative. LIke for example saying "we wont buy player X because he costs more than £1.40". Ok that can be seen as a joke the first couple of times, but when certain posters try and throw that in at every opporutunity everytime Arsenal are linked with a player it moves away from being 'simply a joke' and something that is used to ridicule the manager and club with. That is not to say, by the way, that people shouldn't be critical of the manager. Just that some people use the excuse of 'its just a joke' to rip into the club that is in essence hugely disrespectful to a team that they are supposedly meant to be supporting.

The reason why you probably haven't seen much negativity on these boards from me is because there are plenty of other posters out there making those points already so theres not much more i can add! I prefer to add my views in areas where i think there is an injustice, either towards a player, or the manager, or the club itself.
Just to clarify my position though, i see myself as neither a rosetinter nor a pessimist. I take a pretty relaxed approach in life and i try to not let things bother me too much and i reckon this comes out in my views on Arsenal too. If an article was to be published today showing that NB52 had bought a new £250,000 ferrari for himself there will no doubt be many posters who would be fuming and calling him a c**t. I, on the other hand, would not let it bother me at all. It's his money, he can spend it how he likes. Because like you said before, there are more important things in life for us to be angry about than things like that.
So if someone was to start calling NB52 a c**t for that reason, i would defend him and some would then label me as a rosetinter for doing so. That is not to say that i think he is good enough for the Arsenal though and if i had my way i'd ship him out asap.

All in all, whilst i accept that there are people that inevitably don't agree with the payers/management/the club in general and will criticise them, i take issue with someone taking the piss out of the club for the sake of it. In my opinion, no self respecting fan should mock the club they claim to support. A joke once in a while can be very funny, but when someone continously takes the approach of taking the piss out of the club at every given opportunity, you do wonder why they are supporting the club in the first place.

Only thing I don’t like is when REDaction get so much abuse, or when we as fans get abused for not being loud enough by fans that don’t even go matches.

Apart from that slag off what you like as I will probably agree with most of it within reason.

ps wenger is still a stuborn old c**t who should of got a cb
Chill out mikey anyone would think your dad is the head of REDaction :? REDaction doesnt get 'so much abuse' many people think they have their heart in the right place even if they dont agree with some of the things they do, its a hard job to get an atmosphere in that soul less bowl and to be fair apart from 'your' blocks they havent achieved that much but as i said its a hard job and marching for Wenger aside :x they do a good job but if they werent so involved with the club it could be better? Maybe :?

Best to agree to disagree on this one flash. I have strong views as I am thankful for being where I am. If I wasn’t there I wouldn’t be going so many matches.

End of the day mate, I cant stand all match, go wild when we score a massive goal , swear at the top of my voice without any dirty looks, I can drink by my seat and even sneak my mates in so we all stand together.

For this alone I am eternally thankful as it makes the high ticket prices and the watching of shite players more bearable

This is as close as it can get to being a good atmosphere. I know it doesn’t spread to other areas of the ground but the players certainly hear it.

They have to act with the club as that’s how we got blocks 5 and 6 in the first place.

I am all over that chant!!!!!!!!That is just the thing that can keep going as the Nasri one does. Well done Celtic fans but you will be robbed of that soon.Lets have our own version people!!

When we watch the Arsenal, I go out of my head,
I just cant get enough
I just cant get enough
We pass and glide and we shit on the spuds
And I just cant seem to get enough of..

Do not fear KingJayson is here!!!

I have shouted shit at RedAction before but I think they're our only hope tbh.

They are trying and thats a start. What I fear though is that they go to the Arsenal with an idea, which gets watered down 99% and they accept it, I may be wrong but I just don't see anything too radical coming out of RA such as more RA blocks etc.

If RA weren't in place at the current moment in time, would we miss anything? The banners and flags? (Which I managed to contact Arsenal about and install)

Standing has got nothing to do with RA, just happens that its in block 5 and 6 where the hooligans (Mikey :D ) are located.

I am in favour of RA, they just need to be more radical with their ideas. 8)

The flags do look tiny and shit, perhaps if we had flags like Liverpool do in the kop as someone else said and also banners like Man U have at the stretford end then fair enough, ours are fucking tiny and look embarrassing

Agree with boomer.
Join the mailing list or better yet, come find someone in a redaction tshirt and share all your fantastic ideas with them.

What's that?? Oh right, you haven't got any

I'm in no way a member of RA but admire the fact some people give a fuck enough to at least try n make a diff.

(ps those flags do actually look quite gay)
Might rip the flag off the chopstick it's attached to and find another use for it
