Just seen theo score a lovly goal in the u21's 3-0 win over the ROI.

Took it realy well, hope it gives him the needed confidence to do the same in an arsenal shirt.

Weldone theo!..

its the over 21's that he struggles against

I watched about 30 mins of that game and to be honest theo did fcuk all although that applies to most of his team-mates. Over here we wouldnt rate that Irish U-21 side as one of our best by a long shot but they more than held their own against a far more recognised english side and it took a deflected goal to set england on their way

I know I am preaching to the converted here but if anybody needed convincing on why lennon is so over-rated then they seem proof of it tonight cos he was shit    Have to say that its a tad unfair putting fat huddlestone up against an U-21 team - the fat *word censored* looked and weighed about as much as the Irish midfield 5 put together

But then England have got 19 points from a possible 21, and have conceded 1 goal in 7 games, so they're obviously doing something right.

Theo will deliver for the Arsenal. Patience and confidence is all that's needed.

WATCHED THE U-21 MATCH LAST NIGHT AND IN TRUTH THEO WAS ANONIMOUS FOR MOST OF IT. HOWEVER, HE DID TAKE HIS GOAL VERY WELL. 8)

DON'T KNOW IF IT'S JUST ME, BUT WATCHING THE U21 SIDES FOR THE PAST FEW MATCHES, I'VE NOTICED THAT THEO DOESN'T RECEIVE THE BALL AS OFTEN AS HE PROBABLY SHOULD DO. SO MANY TIMES HE MAKES RUNS INTO SPACE WAITING FOR THE PASS YET HIS COLLEAGUE CHOOSES ANOTHER OPTION. :x :x

WHETHER THAT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH HIM BEING A COUPLE OF YEARS YOUNGER THAN HIS ENGLAND TEAM-MATES, I DON'T KNOW, BUT IT IS SOMETHING I'VE NOTED. THEN AGAIN, IT COULD JUST BE MY IMAGINATION DUE TO BEING OVER-PROTECTIVE OF OUR BOY.

Someone on the box made a very good point the other day that Arsenal play the ball so quickly that it is so tough for an inexperienced kid to tune into that!

At another club who are not as slick he may well look closer to the finished article but to learn to play the Arsenal way is going to take more time.

:D
