That piccy of gatusso gripping hold of jordan with cheese on toast face looking like a goldfish would make a great caption competition....marcengels wrote:DB10GOONER wrote:I still have this weird gut feeling we will beat them over the two legs! I'm reminded of a few lines from Rocky 6 with this juggernaut of a match upon us:
Duke: You know all there is to know about fighting, so there's no sense us going down that same old road again. To beat this guy, you need speed - you don't have it. And your knees can't take the pounding, so hard running is out. And you got arthritis in your neck, and you've got calcium deposits on most of your joints, so sparring is out.
Paulie: I had that problem.
Duke: So, what we'll be calling on is good ol' fashion blunt force trauma. Horsepower. Heavy-duty, cast-iron, piledriving punches that will have to hurt so much they'll rattle his ancestors. Every time you hit him with a shot, it's gotta feel like he tried kissing the express train. Yeah! Let's start building some hurtin' bombs!

So would i,although it's pretty unlikely.I'd feel happier if Sagna was playing rather than Eboue. Mind you,who knows he might fall over in or around their box and gain us a dodgy free-kick or pen.corkbarry wrote:TBH, i would take that and hope for the best in the return leg.BRAZILLIANT 19 wrote:It's got 0-0 written all over it

Never rated Abidal as a LB at all. Not sure if he’s any better as a CB but if not then Walcott might be able to get some joy in the channel between him & Maxwell. Straw-clutching hypothetical tactical bullshit aside I don’t know whether to feel boner-level excited or to start shitting myself. This must be what it feels like to be Tom Kingsbury.
I’ll hazard a guess at either a 3-1 win for us
, or an absolute spanking.

Happy for any positive result, we need to really get at them in the first 20 mins.
Otherwise they will damage ussadly, as we cannot defence against them over the course of the match. A early goal for us would be brilliant, this would then mean that they have to change the system they play. I.E. pushing BACA further upfield.
2-0 would be damn excellent..
