what are arsenal like with people on crutches?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

what are arsenal like with people on crutches?

Post by Gooner Whitey »

Hey guys yesterday playing football i tore my MCL in my knee , had less than an hours sleep and i am iom agony. I cannot put one bit of pressure on my leg so am on crutches and my knee is strapped up. If this was any othergame id sell my ticket but its not going to be stopping me tonight unless arsenal will? just querying if arsenal let u in on crutches as i wont be sitting in the disabled section il have to very very very very slowly hobble down to the second row? :banghead:

...........going to start drinking at 3 aswell so hopefully that helps!

PS mods u can move or delete this when u see fit at lunchtime, rather ask on here as ringing and getting through to arsenal today will no doubt be near enough impossible

I think I'll take this one, lads...

Having sustained a "few" injuries over my 36 years of playing football I can afirm that The Arsenal are most helpful to people on cruthes. Or in slings. Or casts. Or with broken cheekbones. Or noses. Or elbows. Or with dislocated shoulders.

Although the last time I was over on crutches was back at THOF 1. Fuck knows what they might do to you at the new place! Maybe ring in advance... :?

They will probably put you on the bench! Alternatively, the treatment room, although there usually not a lot of room in there. 8)

(sorry to hear about your injury, hope you get on ok tonight).

Hey thanks for the response.

Suppose il have to ring them in a couple of hours, just moving around big crowds tonight at denilson pace is not going to be much fun.

And 36 years of playing football??? Fair play! :barscarf:

Yep - started at under 7's with Annerley All Stars ( 8) ) in Brisbane and have played continuously since. Play mostly indoors now although I still bang for the bro's team every few games. Having said that my knees and ankles now go off like shotguns the day after a game... :(

It's hard to stop playing though, I just love the game and it's great for staying in shape. Probably stop when I have a Sean on the pitch and fall over dead!

Whitey I was on crutches for about 6 months. Went to a few home games at the grove and was treated first class.
You will have no worries at all tonight..

But in fairness DB whenever the Arsenal knew you were attending they had the stretcher ready at the turnstiles to take you to your seat
