Jack Wilshere

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

So good that, rather worryingly, I can imagine Barca tabling a bid for Jack in the summer...
We'd sell Cesc before we sell Jack

91% - Arsenal's Jack Wilshere completed 91% (10/11) of his passes in the attacking third v Barcelona. Gem.

Alan Green on radio 5 was saying how great he was tonight.

For such a young player he has so much time on the ball and great vision and the best bit he plays for Arsenal :barscarf:

Mature beyond his years. Calm and skillful. The boy is equipped and capable of playing big games without being fazed.

Most of all I like his passion for the game and for the club.

Jack I salute you. Well done! :barscarf:

I think he handled our midfield on his own in the first half. He was the only player getting past his man with fine control and anticipation, the only one who really dared to get in between the lines and run at the goal. 19 yo and handling the midfield vs Xavi, Iniesta and Busquets in a CL game...

He goes through contacts, tackles, knocks, bruises unphased. The boy just has it all to simply become one of the greatest! He just needs to add goals to his tally now...

Arsenal's next Brady, England's next Gazza

whether Wenger pulls off a miracle this season or not, one thing has to be said for him, kudos for giving Jack a starting berth this year - the kid aint let him or us down one bit

the differences between Jack and song billong
same role playing: holding midfielder
Wilshere passes, tackles, pressing the opponents, makes spaces in crucial zone of the field
the camerunian after 6 minutes got booked and deserved and after disappeared for all the first half, he played good 15 minutes in 2nd half and stop
absolutely a player very slow and can be replaced by Ramsey aswell

Where Is the gigantic w*nkfest orgy over Jack Wilshere's performance last night like there was over Gareth Bale's vs. Inter Milan?

..."We've got Jack Wil-shere,
we've got Jack Wil-shere;
got him for-ever,
got him for-ever"

Bl**dy, bl**dy, bl**dy brilliant. Total football for 90 minutes from the two greats; there was not a single second when I wasn't on the edge of my seat, hat stuffed in my mouth, shirt clenched in two fists, heart palpitating. We took everything the Champs had and walked away winners; I would watch that game for the rest of my life (and well might). And as with any great game, hats off to the ref; he allowed the players to put on a spectacle without ever trying to be the centre of attention (although that early card to Song was a bit harsh, mate). And now we've got to go through that all again in two weeks? Chr*st.
