ENG-GER-LAND

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Arsenal do nothing for England?

Well three players out of eleven who Wenger took from the age of 17 ain't bad.

Swiss are not a real threat in attack, but I remember from our game against us (France/Swiss-Knife Land) That they are quite good defensievly (If I remember well, the final score was 0-0, and at the time we had Henry and Trezegoal in front, but we didn't had Zidane otherwise we would've won).
ANyway, these games are always tricky games to play because everyone expects a large victory...

I'll be for England for this one but I'll be watching the France-Spain game tonight, with hope of seeing a bit of Fabulous Fab4.

I can already imagine England's The Sun comparing the current team with the one that won the World Cup if England win today

Arsenal bad for England????

Post by Fabby is a Foot (Leg-end) »

Just watching the game...Cashley, Bentley and Upson all products from the Arsenal system (yes I know we brought Upson from Luton but we developed him to what he is now, kinda) plus Theo scored last night and was the only England U21 from the Big 4 (are we allowed to refer to the big 3 no Liverpool have finally crumpled to crap?).

Now i see why everyone says how Arsenal are so bad for the english game! Any other team produced as many invlolved last night or tonight?

Up the Arse.......

FFL, I thought that as watching the game. Bentley and Cole were products of our Academy. Manure rattle on about their English players:

Ferdinand - 30m
Rooney - 26m
Carrick - 17m
Hargreaves - 17m

Their development of English talent over the last 5-10 years has been non-existent. They just write big cheques for the finished articles, but then whinge like fcuk when the Chavs do the same. Isn't that right our bitter blue Panto?

It's left to us Gooners to nuture English talent and send them forth into the Premier league.

not the most convincing performance I have to say

not sure why Motson was creaming over Rooney, yes he worked tirelessly, but I don't think he can play the lone striker, it was a strange decision to use him in a 4-5-1
