I actually thought that Townshend was ok tonite describing Naz's cutback to AA as "an Arsenal ball" and genuinely saying well done Arsenal, brilliant goal and fantastic football and later saying how much he enjoyed the entire nite sitting up in the gantry surrouned by Gooners!

All I know is 9/10 times Barca went down, they got the whistle. Not the case with Arsenal, who were more like 4/10 times.
the media in this country are absolutely unbelievable.listening to taksport this morning and i cant believe the lack of credit we are getting from the so called experts.alan brazil had nigel winterburn on the phone today and i dont think brazil gave us one compliment in the entire interview.the only thing he talked about was how brilliant barca were,how they were unlucky with the 'offside' goal,how fit barca are and how hard a task it will be to finish the job.honestly you would think we had lost the game.this sort of attitude towards arsenal infuriates me.people talk about our lack of fight and whether we can play on the biggest stage.....so we go and beat the worlds best team and the media still cant give us any credit.sickening.
I think most of them are just a tad embarrassed that most of them (and most of the 'realist'/irish clique ) spent the whole of the build-up saying that the only way arsenal could beat barca was to sit deep and suffocate the space mourinho styleee. We made them look like clueless *word censored* (sorry lads ) by pushing barca high up the field and taking the game to them whenever we could.
Long way to go and i still think barca will go through in the end but im proud of the way we accounted for ourselves, alan brazil probably had a load of wonga on 3-0 barca..
La Liga is obviously a shit league, Messi has never scored in England, Barcelona have not won away in the champions league this season, they constantly play 20 passes when one will do and could send you to sleep with there philosophy of passing for the sake of it.
About 4 passes led to the 2nd goal.
I can't stand the way everyone loves Barcelona and Spain who were shit at the world cup, I wonder if we all watched the game on mute if people would then form there own opinions.
after euphoria of last night i honestly cannot beleive the sh#t i have seen in the press.
having got home from the game last night about 11.30 i stuck on sky sports expecting to see some justified praise for arsenal. instead all i could find was an interview with a guy that used to play for sp#rs who scored in the san siro in 1875 or whenever they last won something meaningful!
an hour of talk shite this morning about how undeserved our win was.
as for that sky interview with twitchy and that horrible little man he spawned well..............
if any other team had done what we did last night we wuld have been greated to a line of english media wanking themselves stupid over the performance.
The media give us a good slagging for dominating possesion but missing chances and not killing games off and also accuse us of being flat track bullies, so for us to pull of a victory against the odds and against all their predictions is great.
Some people may call it somewhat poetic justice for Paris 2006 ? the team 1-0 up can't score the desicive 2nd and lose 2 goals in the final 13 mins or so ?
