A Cauldron of noise at The Grove BBC report

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Just posted this on another thread as i didnt see this one....

It was stunning last night!!!!

Block 6 was still going crazy from the first goal. Was grabbed and jumped on by people from the row in front and behind. Was standing on the top of my seat going wild in shock. Just as the 2nd goal myself and King Jayson went fucking mental, think he ended up on the floor and about 5 guys from the row above fell down into our row.
After about 5 mins of going ape shit I ended up by the aisle with all my mates just in shock , looking on at 56000 gooners holding up there scarves singing “by fat the greatest teamâ€

I was in block 24 last night and the atmosphere was by far the best I have experienced at the Grove. I was even more impressed that the stewards allowed everyone to stand for the whole game, no attempt was made to get us to sit down, shame they weren't so leniant when I got thrown out of the same block against Stoke for standing :banghead:

Perhaps Arsenal have finally realised that standing creates atmosphere, but I doubt it

Everything went mental and a load of blokes fell over in the aisle and broke this seat!

Another bloke further down the row broke his wrist.

Some JCL behind me in 115 put his hand on my shoulder and asked me to sit down! he said to his mate did I realise how much his ticket had cost him!! I told him id give him a slap if he touched me or told me to sit down again, Never heard a peep out of him for the rest of the match, hope i gave him the Arsenal experience he was looking for!! and he never darkens my section again!!!

The atmosphere was special last night for a couple of reasons. The first is the oppo but the second is that everyone stayed positive and didnt get on the players back with groans from a bad pass etc. The singing was non stop in block 6 as it probably was all around the ground. The RA section were in good voice starting many but joined into many songs from elsewhere aswell. So if you are over the other side of the ground and start songs then we are right behind you to join in!!! Keep at it lads it does make a difference.
ps. Cesc's bit of cheer leading in the second half got a section of the West Stand on their feet instantly but lets not wait for him to do so.

I was particularily proud when barca scored and we just ramped up the nosie even more to gee up the lads. Wish we could muster that positive spirit a bit more when the team goes down instead of the usual abuse thats hurled, and does no good for anyone.
Totally agree .. Imagine the contrast if we go in 1-0 down against Stoke!
