We want our Arsenal back!!!!

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

No, but it's Arsenal related.
In what way?
In that it has been sung for years and so has history with the club.

In what way is bubbles West Ham related?

I agree the P.A annoucer should be replaced he talks to the fans as if they are kids. The calling out of names just doesn"t work and never has.Drop it for next season.During the half time v Chelski i stayed in my seat and all during the Half time that fucking PA Announcer was reading out birthday requests.Just embarassing. Also from 2.30pm onwards there should be music played to get the fans fired up for the game.Who want to see a interview with Arsene?

Edelman made a terrible error when he brought in the flag ban, that should be reversed for next season .The club still has a lot to do to generate an atmosphere in the new stadium.I really believe something should have been done about relocating fans who want to sing and those who dont.We need OUR version of the Kop at Ashburton

Peopel ahve said its a new home and stuff, which is fair points, looking forward to liverpools first season at their new ground, see if tehy keep their atmosphere.

Can imagine liverpool as a club taking some initiative in keeping teh noise levels high

dont agree with teh music being played tp pump everyone up. As players come out is good, but constantly stops people singing as any noise is drowned out by the speakers

by the way, does the emeriates have teh loudest pa system, at times its defening

'Be'jesus said paddy' has definately died out recently but how can anyone say it isn't related to Arsenal? It IS Arsenal, thats the point. Yes, it doesn't mention Arsenal or even football but I believe it comes from our Irish contingent and forms anoher part of our identity and history. It's much better than another generic chant that every other team use.

And what ever happened to 'There is a team called The Arsenal...'? It's a great song that would send shivers down the spine if 15 000+ were singing together.

Yep, the mickeys are making a 18,000 one tier kop to keep the atmosphere. We should have done the same thing but a 18,000 one tier North Bank instead of a indentical stadium bowl to benfica's.

As for new songs what about this, to the tune of this river plate song
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gX-HP7V4aaw

Here's my twopence worth

In victory through harmony
In victory through harmony
In victory through harmony
We are the people, who follow the Arsenal,
Forever and ever, we'll follow the Arsenal,
The pride of the country, and always the leaders,
Setting the standards for others to follow, victory through harmony

Fuzzfeast - This song was originally sung by seated gooners in the days when we weren't allocated a separate seated area - only terrace. It was a way of demonstrating that you were a gooner amongst the home fans (which was accepted more then than now!). Like most of the great football songs, it was ridiculous & had fuck all to do with Arsenal - but it was always OUR song. It united us, brought us together. No-one else sung it! And that meant so much!!!
