They were good enough to be on the bench on Sunday, so what have they done since then that's resulted in them getting injured?!IrishGunner wrote:Wonder how long he's been sitting on this, neither have played since barcelona

this isnt an injury hes resting them, listen to the interview before going mental. its stoke. they kill people. gives a chance to cham/bendt to get a goal playing with the first team and saves van persie for the carling cup finale!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We havent got the quality back ups to do this though and how many examples do we need to show it ? When you lose kos for whatever reason and you end up playing squillachi then you are inviting trouble
When you lose your main striker and your back up options are either bendtner or a badly out of form chamakh then you could be in real danger

If what you're saying's true then I completely disagree with what Wenger's doing. The league should be our main priority and he should play our best available team in every game.leahy wrote:wake up

first I hope you're right and he's resting them not as I fear our usual spring time collapse starting already.
If you are right

I thought AW was the one that said he wants to keep a winning momentum, how the hell do you do that by resting the hottest striker in Europe this year...( I checked and yes I'm sad

Second thing is if he'd reinforced the defence in January like he said he would, we wouldn't need to rely on a child or the worst defender in Europe(don't need to check, I just can't imagine anyone is as clueless as this c**t)

I want to win a Cup. The league is important but would I take a draw vs Stoke and a Carling Cup win over a win against Stoke and a lost Carling Cup Final?
I know which I'd choose.
BTW - just take a look at The Oatcake Forum. They are obsessed with us and I'm sure Stoke will be out to maim and injure our players for the final. They are that low.

Squillaci is a good centre half.
It is Koscielny who is an absoulte liabilty. Him and Djourou look very suspect at times, it's just a shame that they won't be fully tested by Fuller and Carew
