Carling Cup Final footy thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Carling Cup Final footy thread

Post by Chippy »

I know we don't normally start a new thread until the latest game is over but..... Its not every week we are in a cup final! Lets hope it s the first of 3 this year! :barscarf: :barscarf: Especially as I got my tix today!

We have to play the first team for this one or I will probably self combust right on Wenger's arse. Please no Eboue, Bendtner et al Arsene. :gus: :gus:

If we field the Arsenal B team (Eboue, squillaci, denilson bentner almunia etc etc) we will lose 100%

Play the full team I can see us winning our first trophy since 2005 :barscarf:

Bring on the dirty brummies!

Cesc plays 100% there is no way Arsene puts him on the bench for a big cup final.

i have a feeling its gonna be a mixture of both 'A' and 'B' teams...

If so, am hoping for;

---------------Szezchny-----------------
Sagna---Djourou------Kos-------Gibbs
-------Song--------Wilshere-------------
Bendtner------Cesc-----------Arshavin
-----------------RVP----------------------

Subs would include Nasri, Theo, Clichy, Chamakh, as well as SS18, Almunia & Denilson :?

So really mostly the A-team with Gibbs, Bendtner & Arshavin in for Clichy, Theo & Nasri. Of course, I would rather see these changes not made tho 8)

Wenger's been taking CC seriously, he's not going to do an about-face and suddenly field the wankers who can't beat Orient.

Expect a powerhouse XI including RVP and Koscielny, I say.

This is the CC final thread Reb!
RVP will start...he started against Ipswich and I see no reason why Robin wouldn't start against Birmingham
