Bendtner's goal v stoke was his best moment in an Arsenal shirt IMO

Bendtner can be a fucking handful, and if he's played through the middle he'll get some joy. If not Maybe Theo through the middle? be an intriguing sight.

I'm very enrvous about this game for some reason. Its a massive one, win this and the pressure goes on United while we can sit back and watch us at Wembley!

I know which I'd choose.

BTW - just take a look at The Oatcake Forum. They are obsessed with us and I'm sure Stoke will be out to maim and injure our players for the final. They are that low.
I just did. :coffeespit:
Squillaci is a good centre half.
It is Koscielny who is an absoulte liabilty. Him and Djourou look very suspect at times, it's just a shame that they won't be fully tested by Fuller and Carew

Talk about clueless!

What we are seeing here is Wenger once again pressing the panic button at the crucial stage of the season. I don't believe ther is anything wrong with either player, he is tinkering with his best 11. What will happen is he won't field his best line up in either game, and once again like so many times in recent years we will end up with fuck all.

I agree with this to be honest.

I think Wenger knows his target has been met. We will finish in the top 4 and he knows he has to rest some of the squad in order to do so. If we anything else to him it’s a bonus not a necessity

Sid I don’t know about you but I would fucking love to be proved wrong for the first time.

oh come on siddy? Do you honestly think he has pulled them aside and gone "sorry lads, i know your fully fit and you have been in fantastic form - but id rather not play you?".

More likely is, the fact that RVP needs to be, somewhat unfortuantaly, nursed through the season, and Kos has played almost every game this season in his first year. They are in a dire need of a break in order to prolong their season - and we have a lot of massive occassions on the horizon. Tonights game is massive, no doubt, but both are obviously struggling and a game against Stoke is not what any player needs if they are not fully fit.

As much as Squillaci is poor on the floor (and he bloody is) he is pretty good in the air i think, so this sort of game may suit him a little better. Bendtner also adds to the height of the team in defence, so its by no means a disaster (although i think Cham is better in the air personally) so hopefully with the players we have we can get the job done....lets bloody hope so, i fucking fucking hate Stoke, with a fucking passion.

Agree with you BDB. With Chesney and Djourou playing I'm not that worried about the long ball tonight. It's also never been a massive threat when stoke play us at at Emirates. The key defender is Djourou - as long as he plays we'll be fine.

Would prefer Chamakh over Bendtner because I think the former is better at heading. Definitely don't want to see Bendy on the right, we're already trying to give games to two players on that side (Walcott and Arshavin).

if wenger put them on the bench, and it went tits up people would blame him and hed look like a fool.
if they have even the slightest injury, ache etc then i think thats given him the idea of leaving them out completely knowing that he couldve played them but obviously hes thinking about the upcoming fixtures.
they didnt play against orient so theyve had a weeks rest so it must be a little niggle with both of them.
i am happy to see chamakh play as lets be honest he was putting them away for fun at the start of the season with the rest of the first team.
with cesc, nasri, theo supporting bendt or chamakh should be fine.
like many others i am more worried about koshielny missing but remember we do want to win this final sunday aswell. if we cock that up the whole season will suffer and we will look like fools.
its still a big gamble tonight and i am not sure what i would do in wengers position.
if we draw or lose we know the league is probably done for (again)

When was the last time Chamakh played with Cesc and Nasri? Might be part of the reason he's not scoring as the number of chances created by Rosicky, Bendtner on the wing, etc. will be considerably lower.

Bendtner does offer us a good defensive option from corner and freekicks, its one part of his game that I'm really pleased with. Maybe he'll play both the big men, fuck stoke at their own game
