STOKE CITY THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I know your only a wum but fuck it. Are you actually condoning the Stoke fans who chanted he's only got one leg
no no no. the reply was to do with rntgooner putting safc64 instead of scfc64. i was one of the 99% who clapped AR off that night. it was a twatty chant, but as you know,ALL clubs have idiots.
Sod off! There's no way Arsenal fans at The Emirates would sing that to an opponent being stretchered off whilst on oxygen. I'm not saying that you were one of them, but don't imply that we would be just as bad given the same scenario.

Bore off you twat.
I did not imply that at all. all clubs have idiots, end of is what i put. i'll '' bore off'' now as you put it ,early start tomorrow, you should do the same frank,or you'll be late for school.
Left school 10 years ago. :finger:[/quote]

With A*'s all over the place 8)

We had a very easy time of it against Orient at the weekend. Very friendly stuff. One would almost think that the draw was agreed before the game......

Stoke will be different. Pullis pre-match talk will be about how Arsenal have some important games coming up and that they won't be up for the challenge. Hope we have a strong ref tonight.

As for Stoke fans.....the nearest I can think to it was John Terry getting injured v Arsenal in the Carling Cup Final. Ok, there were a few cheers at first, but as soon as we realised it was serious then Arsenal fans were 100% respectful. No real excuse for what some so called Stokies sang against us - and thankfully the Arsenal players responded in the best possible way.....

If it wasn't for The Arsenal where would have the ammunition and weaponary come from? Yes! Our players (the workers) lay down their lifes for the likes of you. Have some respect to the club that helped win the wars!

At least Port Vale are a decent club and play the game.

When Stoke get a throw in we should leave 3 or 4 players up front this will put those c**ts on the back foot as they cant send all the big defenders up and it might even give Chesny more room to come and collect the ball

I think that is the nail on the head statement, he will play Carling cup then Barcelona and will be rested for the 2 prem games.

Maybe we do need more height for tonight so i guess Bendtner will start :?:

What's the deal with suspensions people, just checked the league's site and Song and Chamakh are on 4 yellows, if either pick one up today will that apply for Sunday...hope not :(

Also Cesc is down as having 5 yet I can't remember him serving a suspension. :?

Who else is at risk from the dirty in-breeders winding them up into a booking, bet you their sheep shagging manager is got them wound up tight to do us as much harm and mess up our prep for Sunday

Apologies to any Taffy gooners for the sheep reference

we didn't forget what Blackburn did to us in the 2005 FA Cup semi
brutally trying to injure both Cesc and RVP, Savage with a knee high lunge, Todd with a late unbelievably vicious elbow (his speciality)

We got our own back and put them to the sword at the Grove
my favourite was RVP balancing the ball on his foot and shifting it to Fab who started doing kickups by the cornerflag
when Savage steamed in he nutmegged him cut inside and set up the 6th (yes even the Flamster scored!)

that's the kind of humiliation I want to see tonight
kickups and nutmegs, losing count of goals scored
Savage was a barbie doll being played with by a pitbull that night
that same level of shame I expect Stoke to be feeling tonight

to misquote Frankenstein (saw it on Monday)
for when I see Shawcross I feel the bile rise in my throat
and it tastes like Satans bile

I want Stoke humiliated, violated, immolated, defenestrated and haruspicated
light them up with goals
throw them out the window down toward the relegation zone
I want to read the future in those scumbags footballing entrails
relegation for them
glory for us

I'm seriously more fired up about this than the beer CupFinal

I saw Frankenstein on Saturday! The opening first 10 minutes was an analogy for how Stoke City FC came to be founded.

suspension on 5 yellows only counts up to 1st half of season, now its 10 yellows to gain a suspension (i think thats right anyway)

Silly as it sounds but win tonight and the pendulum may swing in our direction.
The win would put us a 1pt behind but a game ahead.

With the CC final this Sunday ManU catch-up in terms of games played. Sadly they’re away to Wigan. I expect them to win but stranger things have happened and they have only won 3 away all season!

Then the big one. Chav's Vs ManU next Tuesday.
Also ManU would be a game up on us.

Then the following weekend, We play first against Sunderland. We could go top depending on results, ManU need to win one game against the Chavs & Wigan. Even two draws would see as top.

Even still that same weekend ManU play Liverpool away. A tricky game and one they need to win. More importantly we would still have a game in hand and could be level or a point behind.

So come on lads lets stuff Stoke! :barscarf:

According to arseblog, its Peter Walton who sent Shawcross off for killing Ramsey last time we played this fixture
