What a stupid fucking post.

Remember manure winning nothing for 3 years so they played for the CC? Got a taste for winning and some confidence then won the league 3 years running.

Twat
Lets not fuck about its a shit cup and if the players need this cup to give them a taste of winning then they need shooting, i dont agree with Sid and im really looking forward to the final on Sunday but lets not get carried away with the this is a catalist bollocks

Yes you could tell it meant bollox to the players when both Manure and the chavs won it.

This is exactly what our players need. Put the past to bed for fucks sake, vanish 1996 – 2005 from your memories for a minute. When we last won the league Jacky boy was 13 for fucks sake.

By winning this near enough it’s the whole teams first taste of glory. Of course this means allot.

Since 2005 its like a new team with a new Manager this is the first season we can win something. If it starts in 2011 then this is the first of many…? Hopefully!

We forget than near enough all the players haven’t ever won anything. When and if they win they will get such a taste for it.

Arsenal 1987 – wasn’t that our first trophy for a while

Manure – didn’t they win it and then go on to winning the league

Oh what about the Chavs – didn’t they win and then go on to winning league after league?

This game is massive for us, bring back the fucking glory

It's a shit, devalued trophy (thanks in part to Arsene).

BUT

I still believe that winning a trophy (even this one) can only be a positive for the team. It may not spur (sic) them onto greater things, they may be too mentally fragile to make that leap, but then again it just might ignite a bit of hunger for bigger glory. Who can say?

The average player nowdays is primarily money driven IMHO. It's a short career and they are obsessed with earning as much as they can for their retirement in luxury. But I think if they get a taste of glory then they may just think "Hey - I can get rich and have a succesful career?! Fuck yeah!"

I'm looking foward to it TBH - but I won't be devestated if we don't win it. Although to be honest I feel like shit when we lose ANY game so you never know...

In response to several!
I've said all along I don't give a fuck about the beer cup, and that is how I feel.
Win it and it will be used to justify Wenger's refusal to spend, and as for hailing, it as a catalyst for further glory, what a load of bollocks, Wenger will see it as reason not to spend in the summer.
And if he plays AL and Co we won't win it anyway.
As for comparing it to the Chavs and Utd, going on to greater things, that doesn't compare, as the Chavs and Utd backed it up by spending money and strenghtening their squads.
Everytime we have won anything under Wenger he has rested on his laurels and refused to strenghten the squad for the following season, which is exactly why we have never been able to win back to back titles.

So I don't give a monkeys fuck what anyone thinks of my opinion on this, because either way I believe I'm right.
As for watching it? well I will wait and see if there is anything more stimulating to do other than watching fucking Denilson do his impression of a fucking crab. So yes I may mow my fucking lawn :banghead: :banghead:

I'm hardly AW's greatest fan, but I have to say, the fact that we could still potentially achieve the quadruple, eight months into the season, is pretty damn good evidence that AW may be justified.

HOLDING ON BY A STRING THOUGH.

NO way is it justified yet. Lets see what happens against Manure and Barca before we justify him not spending.

Also lets see what happens with the remaining league games we have left and if we last with no more injury’s.

I badly want us to win the CC and I cant wait to go, but lets not get things twisted its back to reality when we play Sunderland I will be back to my sceptical best.

The CC will not be enough for me, not by a long shot.

Please Wenger prove me fucking wrong!!!! And for Sids own health prove him wrong too.

I agree with the above, but am just saying "So far, so good". I wouldn't not want to watch the final, or hope we lose, for instance.

cheerful bugger aren't you, sid?

final is on my birthday, my first trip to the new wembley (yes, i know its rubbish but its wembley isn't it?) not won anything for SUCH a long time according to everything you read every time the arse have a bad day at the office, bit of silver for the boys to hopefully think 'yeah, thats something i actually want to do more often in my career (WITH THIS CLUB YOU MISERABLE BASTARDS)' and it's a new trophy to put on the stadium...

no it's not the biggest trophy in the world, i wont be devastated if we get beat (livid maybe, but that would be because we'd be getting beaten by birmingham) and i'm not going to suggest to anyone that we're going to take over the world as a result. cheer the fuck up you lot and enjoy seeing the boys win at wembley and hope that its the first of many victories still to come!

I agree that the CC will be great for the squad. Its the time in the season when you just have to take every game as it comes - and tonight is a MUST WIN if we want to keep the pressure on manure

Fairplay Davey, I will back out of this one, I don't want us to lose despite how it may appear. Enjoy your birthday.

On the bright side, wife buying a cup final ticket to a football match, you've done well there!
Yeah she ain't too bad like that. A couple of years ago she got me a ticket for Italy V England in the Six Nations whilst on a romantic weekend in Rome :D Mind you if I know her as I think I do it would mean that she has spent a fu*king fortune of curtains or something stupid and not told me about it yet! Ahh well fingers crossed it turns up!

The mancs and chavs went on to win trophies because they had good teams/players not necessarily because they won the carling cup first, all this catalist talk isnt true there are as many teams that went on to win next to nothing as there is that went on to win more
