STOKE CITY THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

sorry to ask twice but....
Rumour is that its a tight muscle and NOT serious.

By "not serious" they didnt specify whether he is likely to be out for sunday/nou camp..

Agreed.

Maybe its just something about koscielny and squillaci as a partnership that stinks the place out. If my memory serves that is the first time that squillaci has been partnered with Djourou and he looked solid.
Naaah mate, Squillaci may head a few goals for us, BUT He realy is a BAD CB.....sad but True.

BBC said he went off as a precaution, sore knee I think. Would be surprised if he missed anything other than the CC final (I can see him playing at least some part in that tbh, he wants to lift the trophy)

Cesc went off as a precuation, tight muscle due to not being involved in the full warm up.

wasn't really talking about the goal, more the fact that for the first time since he arrived he didn't look absolutely lost in central defence. A One off or a result of partnering Djourou rather than koscielny? Have to wait & see i guess but credit where its due, he played well today.

Positives:
-Another clean sheet
-Wilshere again outstanding, no tiredness there (despite having played the most games in our squad)

Negatives:
-Injury to walcott
-Nasri didnt look fully fit to me

Thank fuck that's over with 3 points in the bag. My blood pressure must have been off the scale the last 15 minutes or so.

PS: Delap - You can stick that towel up your arse 8)

Same, I managed to bring it down a notch by resigning myself to a stoke equaliser and trying to pre-emptively come to terms with it 8)

I can tell you the one thing that is giving me huge amounts of confidence tonight, despite not having RvP & Koscielny in the team and that things name is Szczesny!! With him in the team it has inspired a huge amount of confidence in our rearguard and knowing that if a ball gets hoofed/thrown into the 6 yard box the majority of the time he claims it with relative ease and assurance, unlike some of our past keepers like erm, ahhh, say, ALMUNIA!!
