Firstly sid old boy, I don't think anyone is saying if we win it we will deffo go on to better things. There is no guarantee of that. But we MIGHT. It's possible - and getting a trophy under their belts can only help the players.
Secondly alot of your argument seems to stand on Wenger using winning it as an excuse not to spend next summer. Honestly, mate - do you really believe Wenger will spend money next summer no matter what happens??!! Have the last 10 transfer windows (summer and Jan for the retards on here ) taught us nothing about Arsene?
