That was my impression too, glad someone thought likewise.. i thought i was going insanehighburyJD wrote:IMO Denilson played quite well
did exactly the job he was instructed to, be conservative with possession
I also thought Bendys 1st touch was surprisingly good and for the 2nd consec game he set up a goal

He's fucking useless.
Useless is a compliment to the *word censored*!
I just hope he isnt in the team on sunday. I have had to sell all my FA Cup games as i cant stand watching *word censored* like denilson play.

Stokes best chance of scoring came from the Pennant free kick thanks to you know who.Stop digging JDhighburyJD wrote:IMO Stoke were building up a head of steam until Den came on and killed the game with conservative ball retention based playdonaldo wrote:Did he pass one ball forward?-No

Thank you....if you think Denilshit had a good game last night, I feel sorry for you. He WAS THE WORST PLAYER on the pitch, no tackle, no tracking back but committing silly fouls...yes he did pass the fucking ball within 2m, who else can't do it FFSdonaldo wrote:Did he pass one ball forward?-No

Denilson is totally devoid of any tactical nous -he just lacks awareness and never senses any danger what so ever.
To think we had Storey,Talbot,Price,Nicholas,Williams,Thomas,Petit,PV4 playing in this position.Even Hillier had more awareness.
Ok he is not a holding mfielder a la Diarra etc, but at least don't let opps surge pass you!.

Because our other midfielders never give away free kicksdonaldo wrote:Stokes best chance of scoring came from the Pennant free kick thanks to you know who.Stop digging JDhighburyJD wrote:IMO Stoke were building up a head of steam until Den came on and killed the game with conservative ball retention based playdonaldo wrote:Did he pass one ball forward?-No

This isn't an attempt to suggest denilson is good enough to play for the arsenal but he was brought on yesterday to do a job and he did it well enough. In case you didnt notice our tactics in the last 10 minutes of that game weren't meant to involve much forward passing.
There will definitely be a time and a place to slag off denilson but i dont think the aftermath of that game is the best context in which to do it. Imo.

He was. Only this year we went better and had Jacky boy who is a sexual mixture of flamini, denilson and cescmarcengels wrote:I'm still getting over the shock of Arsenal coming from behind to beat Barcelona, without Denilson, remembering how he was pivotal to our comeback last year.

Eddie Mcfuckwitcunt is still unpopular with me, I can see Denilson challenging him.

I for one shit myself any time the ball went near Denilson. Even if his role is 'to take the steam out of a game' the guy is so ponderous on the ball (taking two touches just to get it properly under control), and then so hesitant about what to do with it, that he always risks either being robbed (thus his tendency to fall over the ball claiming a foul, which most refs have sussed onto now) or, if he manages to get the pass off, playing it behind or in front of his team-mate.
Defensively he offers very little as he can't tackle and has got no pace nor the intelligence to position himself properly; attackingly he offers even less!!! I honestly can't remember a worse midfield player, or one that offers the team less in my 40 plus years of watching Arsenal (and in that time we've had a few bad ones).

I agree Even Johny Jenson and David Hiller were better than Denilson.I Hate Hleb wrote:I for one shit myself any time the ball went near Denilson. Its matters like this that make me crash back down to reality and question the fucked up mind of Wenger.
