I Hate Hleb wrote:I for one shit myself any time the ball went near Denilson. Even if his role is 'to take the steam out of a game' the guy is so ponderous on the ball (taking two touches just to get it properly under control), and then so hesitant about what to do with it, that he always risks either being robbed (thus his tendency to fall over the ball claiming a foul, which most refs have sussed onto now) or, if he manages to get the pass off, playing it behind or in front of his team-mate.

Defensively he offers very little as he can't tackle and has got no pace nor the intelligence to position himself properly; attackingly he offers even less!!! I honestly can't remember a worse midfield player, or one that offers the team less in my 40 plus years of watching Arsenal (and in that time we've had a few bad ones).
Agreed, he is the worst I have seen in the last 20 years!!

We don't want to hate our players, but for AL and Denilson, I simply can't stand them anymore. They don't worth to wear the Arsenal shirt. Both of them are Shit, sad but true :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

TBH, I don't know what he is thinking...I don't think we are as clear or experienced as him. But what he did in recent years was just unbelievable :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

the first and second time denilson received the ball yesterday, he slipped over (under no pressure). surely by now he knows which studs are best to wear in his team's home stadium

If Denilson doesn't put a shift in, or doesn't track, or makes flimsy attempts at challenges, who should we blame other than Denilson?

What he did yesterday could be done by a hundred other players - it's what he can't do that brings our level down.

That depends.. is that the first time he has failed to put a shift in? Is it the first time that he has dangled his leg out in a shitty attempt a tackle?

If the answer is no then blame the bloke who keeps persevering with him without appearing to coax any improvement.

Fair point, but he's not first choice so he's not really persevering with him as a starting 11 player. He should be out to prove something, which he very rarely does, other than that his abilities are limited. Once he goes out on to the pitch, it's his personal responsibility to get the basics of his position right.

Hopefully, now that there are real alternatives, we won't see to much of him in future seasons, and Wenger will see the light.

Don't agree, he came on for what, 20 mins yesterday, in that time he misplaced simple passes, fell over under pressure and gave away a silly free kick which they could have scored from.

He is one player who I pray to God doesn't play a part and with Ramsey coming back hopefully he won't.

He was Stoke's best attacking player.Conceeding that free kick was just typical of him.

people have pre-judged some of our players and will just see what they want to see

I am not a fan of Bendtner especially his poor 1st touch
but v Stoke his touch was pretty good, he controlled a lot of difficult balls and set up a goal
after about half an hour a poor pass (possibly from Jack who is god obviously) bounced off him
immiediately all around me I heard groans - every1 was just waiting for his mistake so they could slag him off

the fact that in that 1st halfhour nasri, jack + cesc all prob made mistakes is ignored

I think denilson was key to our result v Stoke
IMO the game changed when he came on - in the 10/15 mis before Stoke built up a head of steam
denilson took the tempo out of the game
I don't rate den, his passing is too negative - on this occasion it was what we needed

there are plenty of times he's deserved total slating (stoke away last year, everton + manure at home)

as has already been said choosing a game in which he wasn't poor to pile in to him just proves this point
