As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

If he really is fit to play at least as a sub then fair enough. I don't want him pushing himself too far and getting badly injured for the sake of leading his team out.
Surely if we win, the team can let him lift the trophy first even if he didn't play?
Champions League v Barca......Premier League only 11 games to go.....FAC quarter final v Utd......all more important than Sunday!
If there is any doubt as to his fitness then Wenger should say no. Football is no place for sentimentality. He played when he shouldn't at home to Barca last season. How many games did he miss after that......

Agree with MKG.
I think it may be that Fabregas thinks it's possible he could pay some part, and that is being informedby his desperation to lead us out. On the other hand, Wenger thinks about what happened last year, and is being a litte more cautious as a result.

Spot on! final 30mins against Sunderland is the next time I would hope and expect to see Cesc play.
It's a tough one though. It's a cup final at the end of the day & the importance of winning on Sunday cannot be emphasised enough. Yet i also agree with what's been said above. Chances are we're going out in Spain whether Cesc's there or not....Ditto up at Old Trafford. Need him for the League though as you just feel with a fit-ish squad we'd have a real chance at that....On the bench on Sunday for me.
May I just say I would like to agree with everone...I think if it's true that Cesc is desperate to play, but Arsene refuses to risk him it speaks well for both men...Hope you all agree.
Agree with Wenger !! If Cesc aint fit he shouldn't play. We have good enough players to win Sundays game. If we do win, El capitan should still go up and lift the trophy, along with the captain of the day.

UP LE ARSENAL !!!
I think that Viera did that at the 2003 F.A. Cup Final. He didn't play, but went up with the team to collect the trophy.
