Wenger's Project Arsenal v 3.0 - Failed

The silver lining to this cloud is the fact that he absolutely can't use the 'We got to a final' excuse this year - primarily, because we weren't beaten by the likes of Barcelona or Chelsea, and thus there absolute WAS shame in the way in which we were beaten.

Off the top of my head, I honestly can't rememeber a final in which we've played so dismally.

The last one we won :?:

We at least had some guts and passion that day, and actually put in a shift to grind out a win.

I know I'm gonna get ridiculed but its not over yet. Can't we wait until the season is over for the post mortem. We still have a chance in the three biggest competitions, how they react will define this team.

I know you may feel we've seen this all before, but we may just beat united in the cup (after orient obviously), we may beat barca. Lets just wait till its all over for the analysis.

A lot of the ex pros saying they'll be stronger for this.

Obviously if Van Persie is out for any length of time just ignore what I've said.

We've never lost four in a row, but Wenger's on course to re-write the history books...

Unfortuantely, our players do not react like other normal human beings - when you say something in the press, they don't go and shove it down the opposition's throats - they just prove they were right. When a colleague of theirs gets his leg broken, and they all wear t-shirts in support, all of our fans start saying how together they are and stronger they will be - and they go and capitulate.

Over and over again ( ), they prove that they don't have collective will, and Wenger knows it too, which is why he keeps on having to repeat his mantra.

Marc TOP TOP post. "Do it for Rambo" we cried. We fell apart. "Do it for Eduardo" We fell apart.

To see Jack Willshire out there sobbing his heart out at the final whistle said it all and then contrasted to Denilson who was laughing and joking at the end. Little fucker he can piss right off.

I can hardly speak today from shouting at the match yesterday. I don't have the heart to turn on the radio, check football365, look at Skysports news. I just physically cannot, it hurts. How many of the players will be saying that? 1 / 2? Commitment is what we are missing in too many places.

It's all well and good coming out on the TV etc giving it big licks about how this is our year how the squad are ready. Us fans aren't that stupid. We've heard it all before, and we'll hear it all again.

The proof will be the end of May when it's looking like we'll be the "also rans" for the umpteenth season...

The project has failed and failed miserably, then again anyone who wants to turn a football club into their little project is a complete *word censored* and deserves fucking shooting. We are the bigger mugs for allowing it to happen

Completely the opposite, Flash. Don't you see, This is only the beggining :barscarf: . We have players in this squad who were never part of 'The project'. Instead they have been a means to an end while 'The project' grows. BUT on the positive side, We have some very good young players who have come through our academy, are out on loan at the moment and will come in, replace the elder players as well as those who lack the character (of which we all have our own opinions). With them will come a fresh enthusiasm and hunger. Along with one or two signings :- Bob's your uncle, we're back into the new season fielding more young (English) players than we've seen in a few years. The fans see this and find their voices again. 'The project' goes on and gains strength, proving that patience really is a virtue.

Still 3 to play for this season though :barscarf: :barscarf:

I agree louder... we are on the brink big time, still in 3 major competitions, we will have players like Ramsey, JET, Myiachi, Wellington Silva, Samuel Galindo.. joining the squad, hopefully the signing of Eden Hazard also. More talent oozing through like Miquel, Bartley, Gibbs.. The coming of players like Szczesney, Djourou, Wilshire.

Sunday was horrific.. but as a group this Arsenal team HAVE to be what we all want them too be, we have a number of world world class players, a great blend of youth and experience, we are so close. If we fail to win anything this season it will be a disaster but simply because of the position we have got ourselves in. Written off completely at the start of the season, now we find ourselves having lost a cup final and still very much in the running for 3 other trophies.

Some people love to hate Wenger, some people love to love Wenger, we all want the same thing but you surely cannot deny that we are going places and other clubs are clearly in decline.

1: Were not kids.

2: I think you could do with some Anti-depressants

3: My opinion is no greater than yours, but for you too dismiss the facts so bluntly is quite clearly laughable.. we may be rose tinters but you are far too realistic for your own good.
