I saw this in another thread, instead of replying in that thread i thought it better to start a new thread. Like the rest of you I'm really pissed. please understand I'm not attacking our non British players but.....To see Jack Willshire out there sobbing his heart out at the final whistle said it all and then contrasted to Denilson who was laughing and joking at the end. Little fucker he can piss right off.
The contrast between Denilson and Jack Wilshere at the end of a Cup final, i think probably reveals one of the reasons why this current Arsenal team have not won a trophy in 6 yrs and why the team failed in the Carling Cup .
Is there anybody in this current squad ( with probably the exception of Jack ) that shows a Passion for Arsenal football club ?
I mean do they ( our current crop of players ) understand what it means to play for Arsenal FC. Did Henry , Viera ,Petit, and Pires understood what it meant to play for Arsenal because we still had a large English contingent that reminded them everyday how special this club is.
Where is our Gatusso or our Puyol or Tony Adams version 2011. the symbol of Arsenal, the leader.
When you see young Jack shouting at teammates for misplaced passes ,it tells me that the young lad seems to take his responsibility seriously.
Where is the Pride ? do the non English players truly feel shamed when they fail to do well in an Arsenal shirt.
Is Arsenal's particular football philosophy enough to win trophies ? is it enough for the British game.
In an interview a while back Denilson said he was misquoted when he said that Cesc was no leader, to me yesterday showed that he has no respect for Arsenal FC and that interview may not have been far off as we think .
I don't want to sound xenophobic but to me Jack is the only player currently that seems to understand the Pride and Passion that i think is needed , when it comes to playing in the British game .
It served Birgmingham well when it really mattered , a Cup Final.
