Arsenal Ladies a Disgrace to Football

Post by Ruby »

Now you may call me an old trouser monkey or a sandwich baster but now I've calmed down I feel it's time to let loose my feelings after watching the most dreadful display of unsportsmanlike football I have ever had the misfortune to see in my life. First the Arsenal Ladies seem to have this bad habit of shooting at goal from outside the penalty box or whenever they think they have a goal scoring opportunity. Have they not seen the Mens' team, girls you must pass the ball around endlessly and then and I must stress this only when the time is right maybe make an attempt at scoring but only after giving the opposition one chance to score. Also the women seem to have a problem with taking corners - time after time they would put balls in at head height, unlike like our professionally trained men who put crosses over to imaginary 40ft giants or 3ft high dwarfs.

And why oh why is it when a woman gets hurt in a tackle do they think it clever to get up quickly as if nothing has happened. What, rolling around clutching your face too good for you, is it?

Ladies sadly I fear that women's football has still a long way to go before it reaches the dizzy heights of men's football.

Nice one Ruby - the girls were brilliant - however, they too missed several open goals in the final and could have repeated the 9 they got in the league. But they did score four...nuff said. The club don't make enough of their amazing success and the half-time lap of honour v Chelsea was far too little and low key whilst half the crowd were stuffing their faces
