1991 – you cant really believe that or is it that you just to believe it? Ha-ha

TV will be back next season – new signing

Ramsey – new Signing next season

Bartley – new Signing

Frimpong – new signing

Wellington or Daniele son - new signings

San Miguel or what ever his name is – new signing

JET should be ready for more games next season – new signing

Though all said players will need a few years to mature

We wont ever sign a star with that old wanker in charge , fuck him and fuck the club
I do believe and we'll just have to wait and see. We can't predict the future.

If I'm right we'll all be very happy, if Im wrong then I'll be calling for his head! 8)

I thought that at the end of the 2008/09 season, when Man Utd and Chelsea tore us apart in the space of four days (1-3, and 1-4 respectively; and at home, no less).

As we all know, he didn't. If those crushing defeats weren't a wake-up call for AW, then nothing will ever be.

If you had to make a bet and was forced to as a matter of life or death.

Would you bet yes he will go out next season and sign some stars and win us a title

or it will be the same story, all summer we will be linked with great players. Come sep 1st we will sign an African that is meant to be the next Drodba. Maybe a defender that no one knows that proves to be shit.
and maybe a frnech arabic defender from a 2nd division french team.
STay in the top 4 and have a great chance of winning the leauge again but dont due to injurs again

I guess it is down the individual fan and how disillusioned they are regarding the groundhog day scenario we seem to find ourselves in season after season, transfer window after transfer window.

There are some teams/Managers out there that are very good at signing stars and winning feck all.... Our Manager has got us up to 2nd place without signing stars..... I think it's a balance. I think one or two key signings might give us the extra 5-10% to take us into the "big league". Spending money in itself isn't the answer.....

Your right mate. But he has to sign a mature proven prem player. That does cost and its going to be star prices. Maybe 1or2 and we will be there

Agreed IMO we are 3 players away from winning something big this is where Wenger and his wanky project lets himself, us and the club down

I agree louder... we are on the brink big time, still in 3 major competitions, we will have players like Ramsey, JET, Myiachi, Wellington Silva, Samuel Galindo.. joining the squad, hopefully the signing of Eden Hazard also. More talent oozing through like Miquel, Bartley, Gibbs.. The coming of players like Szczesney, Djourou, Wilshire.

Sunday was horrific.. but as a group this Arsenal team HAVE to be what we all want them too be, we have a number of world world class players, a great blend of youth and experience, we are so close. If we fail to win anything this season it will be a disaster but simply because of the position we have got ourselves in. Written off completely at the start of the season, now we find ourselves having lost a cup final and still very much in the running for 3 other trophies.

Some people love to hate Wenger, some people love to love Wenger, we all want the same thing but you surely cannot deny that we are going places and other clubs are clearly in decline.
This coming from the geezer who said we would smash Birmingham by 4 or 5!

Completely the opposite, Flash. Don't you see, This is only the beggining
when does the beginning end? We have been at the beginning of something big for 4 seasons or so :banghead:
You seem a bright bloke Flash'. You can't seriously believe that 4, 5 or even 6 seasons is a long time in the big scheme of things. In the words of George Graham 'when he was manager Arsenal were a domestic club, now Arsenal are a world club'. We are growing, strengthening and improving every year. Whether we like what the club has become ( High ticket prices, over commercialism, foreign mercenary players, sterile stadium etc ) or not, this is what the club is now. So support it. Or don't.

The highlighted bit is where your post falls down we arent improving every year, we are making the same mistakes (mainly defensive)and failing to win big matches thus competitons because of it all on the whim of a manager that has a total free reign at the club. The youngsters are not that young anymore Cesc, Theo, RVP, Clichy, Sagna etc etc the excuses are running out

I accept we cant win every trophy, every year but to come so close but fail due to such glaring mistakes and a failure to strengthen the team is criminal.

Anyway when does the begining of this project end? When we win something even if that takes another 20 years?

We are improving every year, Flash. Defensively we are better than last year with the addition of Kos', who is a good player with a good attitude and will improve over the coming years. Djourou seems to be staying fit, something he has never done in previous seasons. Along with TV we have 3 very good CB's for the next ten years.

Cesc and Theo ARE still very young players with a lot of experience and can get even better. Clichy, RVP and Sagna are at an age where they should be reaching their peak. Clichy, who I think has been a lot better recently, also has Gibbs behind as competiton, that can only be good.

If you put your patient head on and really take a long look at the players we have in the current squad as well as the players coming through. Then try and see them as a squad in 2, then 5, then 8 years, the future is very bright and not too far away. Well, not for some.

Doesn't feel like there is much progression, more like we are going around and around in circles.
