Barcelona Second Leg Football Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

So, if I'm over in Barcelona trying to blend in with the Gooners, I take it I should sing some song for one of your most popular players like:

When I think of Eboue, I go out of my head,
And I just can't get enough, I just can't get enough,
When he knows the tactics the North Korean said,
I just can't get enough, I just can't get enough,
He slips, he slides, and he jumps and dives,
And I just can't seem to get enough
du du du du du du du du du du du du du du

8) :barscarf: I'll fit right in, they'll never knaa I'm not really a Gooner 8)

Will be just like Arsenal FC to be so shit last Sunday and then follow it up with knocking out Barca. Full strength team then perhaps but I fear another Messi wondershow

Sagna is back which is a bonus, Eboue was predictably unpredictable in the first leg. Sagna didn't get forward so much in the final but Theo wasn't there and maybe that's why. I feel like most fans that we have to score out there, and where will that come from. Cesc (possibly) and RVP are big losses but I think the game would have been made for Theo's pace. Song was poor in the home leg, but he was hampered by the early yellow.
A friend suggested to me that Diaby will play wide left to cope with Alves, not sure but watching the Orient game I wonder is Wenger thinking of Gibbs and Clichey starting.?..Bendtnar will start up front and he needs to improve his effort big time. My biggest fear is getting through this with a fantastic result, and then going out to another English club.

We cant defend or score goals so should be a good un :barscarf:

102 goals in 45 games this season (2nd highest scorers in the pl)

Shipped same amount of goals as manure in the pl

I am a little bit nervous of this game also (ok a lot) but we aint been nearly as bad as some would have us believe this season.

I can live with it if we don't make it to the next round, but only if we don't lose more players. Then please let it be 2-0 or something like that, hopefully they don't make us look stupid again.

Let's just hope it will be a nice trip, can't wait to fly out on Monday. :barscarf:

I think we CAN do it..... Critically important to win Saturday's game without further injury and also to have Cesc back against Barca. But think we showed in the 1st leg that anything is possible.....

I think we can go through mate. We have more chance of getting a draw or them beating us 3.2 for example.

We wont however go through the next round if we get any of the english teams. We will then bottle it

I really think we need to score twice in order to get result there.

....you may be interested to know that REDaction are running an
Arsenal Fanzone (with AFC and Barcelona city council) on the day of
the game.

It is at Port Olimpic, in front of the twin towers - open on matchday
between 11am and 6pm. Among the things to do there include music,
past Arsenal games on big screens, well priced food and drink, and
guest appearances from ex-players and Arsenal celebs. So, if you are
in town, come and have a beer and a sing song in the company of fellow
Gooners.

See you there!
