If Fabregas makes the starting 11 I'll be very surprised and I would really question Wenger's current state of mind.

This isn't the champions league final. There's more games after this one if we get through.

From a fabregas point of view. Even if he plays, Barca will still have the same amount of possession, almost. That's extra closing down and stress on his injury.

With further important games coming up it's a no brainer not to risk him.

Zaragoza did a decent job on Barca at the weekend. Two great banks of 4 and 5 at time. They worked hard. We don't play like that, sorry, we can't play like that.

The more I look at the tactics employed by both teams the more I am convinced (by our starting 11) we will be shown up. We've left some serious openings at the back of late. Cast your mind back to the two games with Ipswich. This side won't be too dissimilar to that one.

Nonetheless, my heart is in the right place and maybe, just maybe things will go our way

Come on THE ARSENAL!!!!!!!! :whitered:

1. Denilshit as DM
2. Dia maybe there might not bother as DM
3. Play Jack as a DM and bring one of the above into midfield
4. Play Jack as a DM and bring Ramsey straight into midfield
5. Play Jack as a DM and bring Rosicknote into midfield
6. Eboue as DM
7. Kos as DM with Squishy at CB
8. None of the above we might as well give up now

Not a big loss tbh. Better off when song isnt playing.

He was terrible home leg, and last season wasnt much better if you remember.
Very fortunate not to see red in the first leg

I agree with this. Would love Cesc to be fit but i dont want Wenger to take the risk.

Yes we might go out, and then loose to Manure

But maybe just maybe Cesc can be fully fit for West brom , get us a result there.

Then there is a long enough break for us to get over things, Theo and RVP could be back and we SHOULD then have enough to win the leauge???

You say it's no loss and he should have seen red but are any of the above options actually better? He should have seen red because Song did what every DM does when he is caught flat footed on a break and cyncially took the player down to get booked.

Denilshit, if he slots in, will need to do that also but what concerns me is that he will eithet get caught flat footed a lot more than Song or won't even be anywhere near to foul if he wanted to and so they'll walk through from midfield.

Regardless of your view on Song however which option would you go for and why?

God none of it makes me less scared. I would honestly go GG and play an extra CB sitting in front of the back 5. Probably use KOS as he is a really good tackler of the ball

JD seems to bring out some good in Squid so leave them as 2 CB,s

Spot on Goon, whilst Song has his shortcomings, the alternative is a fucking nightmare. I personally would go with Diaby as the lesser of two uselessnesses.

The key will be who he puts up front, personally I would go for our quickest player, if that is Nasri I would stick him up there. If we have one of the carthorses up front we have no chance. What gave us half a chance last year was the pace of Theo.

This is right. We need to score big time. If sunderland is anything to go by........

Agree with that, I think Theo is the biggest loss of all, would have been fantastic on the break and they'll have suspect left back tonight given that he'll be moved into the middle to cover for Pique/Puyol

However second biggest loss is Song :banghead: I seriously quite like the idea of Kos in front of a back two but that will prob make us too defensive and also not the best time to try a new system/new position. He does have good DM attributes though, wuite often intercepts overhit passes from Midfield in front of the back four, pretty good distribution and likes a little saunder forward every now and again (noticed it especially against Sunderland).

Back to the Strikers point one of the carthorses would be useful for defending corners which we'd be naive to assume they're not a threat from

It's got to be Denilson, Cesc and Wilshere.

Even though Denilson is crap he had a good game against them last year at home and he is just that bit more mobile than Song. Even though he lacks a lot , I think he should start.

The idea of Kos in CDM is cool, but him a JD do have a good partnership and I don't think it should be broken.

Going to be so fucking tough, but I believe.

Yep it will be tough, but this is the Champions League and the cream of Europe.

Judging by some comments made, there are a few posters who seem to think it is a waste of timing Arsenal turning up as it is a foregon conclusion that Barcelona will win.

We will see.

Sad thing is, its real mate. Its not just reading it. Its the knowing that what he wrote will indeed happen.

Its either him or Diaby. Both of them are nightmares but Denilson probably has more defensive qualities and moves the ball faster. Diaby can beat players and plays more forward but we need to be tight in the middle, so that's why Denilson gets my shout.

Ramsey is too much of a gamble, but should be given some minutes because at least he has a dig from distance.

BELIEVE !!!
