MALE HYGIENE AND PERSONAL GROOMING

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

MALE HYGIENE AND PERSONAL GROOMING

Post by goonersid »

I don't remember quite how the conversation arose, but I was chatting to a girl in our office and she was shocked that I didn't use aftershave nor that I didn't specifically use Lynx de-odorant.
And was myself surprised to learn that the younger lads in the office wouldn't leave the house without splahing it all over (even the ones who don't need to shave)
Maybe it's just the generation I'm from or the 70s and 80s lifestyle that I led. Long hair denims and heavy rock/metal music headbanging and all day piss-ups.
But I have always considerd aftershave as male perfume for big fucking girls blouses, the type who went to fucking discos.
I'm not a smelly bastard (at least I hope not) I shower every day and use an anti-perspirant.
What's your take on this sniffy subject.

I'm not a smelly bastard and I shower every day, too.
But I use aftershave and perfume nevertheless so I smell even better :pixie1:

If it smells like what the packing promises I´d reconsider the use.
It looks like a bottle of pepper spray.

Never heard of Boss, CK, Hilfiger and other fragrances? More expensive than pepper spray, but particularly promising.

Lynx is a deodorant not an after shave Cus. Not sure if you Germans use Deodorant  or is that the French?

I don´t use a deodorant (only aftershave or frangrance - don´t know the correct english term). Some guys at the gym use a deodorant, fucking disgusting cheap goods. They smell like some old whoremaster.

Cus deodorant is for your armpits to stop them smelling of B.O. then aftershave (fragrance) to make you smell nice

I use this non-aerosol spray deodorant.

Lucky for you GoonerSid you do not use the tube.

In rush hour it is a mixture of too much body spray, cigarette smoke, stale urine, stale beer, BO, kebab and overbearing perfume.

A shower in the morning (and evening if I'm going out). Deoderant and a splash of aftershave. No moisturisers or any of that tho.

There is at least one male grooming shop in Belfast now.
