Don't think Cesc was fit. Prob begged Arsene to play. If not fit shouldn't have played him.

Thats how to play super fancy football and still have a super work ethic. Hats off to them. They better stuff any of the other English teams if they get them.

Ref was a total wanker for that. We prob wouldn't have won but you never know in football - how many times have we destroyed teams and pipped by one attack ?

I'm proud of our boys tonight, defending against THAT for 90 mintes must take it's toll both mentally AND physically. But how did our keeper get injured, saving a routine free kick? Only at Arsenal, honestly. I know the lad once broke both of his arms but, now out for the season?! Also, I hope that referee gets run over.

And finally,

We didn't even have a single shot on goal!

But as I say, proud of them either way, even with Robin on - they closed us down so quick we'd do well to get out of our own half. You can't defend against this lot for 90mins, have no shots on goal, and expect to go through. I'm sorry but you just cant.

These contentious referee decisions happen in almost every game. We are on the wrong side of it this time round.

Overall though the best side won. They were too good for our boys in the first period.

I already mentioned a couple of days ago that Fabregas should not figure in the squad for this game. Unfortunately the management and him decided he was fit enough. He clearly wasn't. After 20 minutes he was struggling.

A handful of good performances from our lads.

The last 6-7 minutes were very fustrating. We lacked urgency but I suspect they were on their last legs.

United will have a cosy victory in the FA Cup on Saturday. Hopefully we play an extremely weakened side and we rest our players for the next Premier League fixture.

We need more quality in our starting line up, as well as a couple of hard workers.

Didn't Inter Milan do exactly that in last year's semi-finals?

he was angry with bendtner and the ref. what do you expect? fans get like this. why do you always look for posts you disagree with just so you can quote it and launch a verbal attack? you know what your doing and its making us more annoyed.

If have no problems with your rosetinting views its the way you lambast anyone who disagrees. think about what you've said and the timing. HOW IS THAT NOT WUMMING?

TeeCee wrote:Yes, shocking decision by the ref but we were like rabbits caught in headlines most of the game anyway. Our passing was woeful and we looked shit scared. There was only going to be one outcome in that game I'm afraid.
I hope Wenger and some fans don't use the RVP incident as an excuse, we weren't at the races tonight, just not good enough.

Agree with most of this 8)

I am mostly proud of the performance the team put in tonight......disappointed but still proud. 8) However not every player can leave that game tonight with their head held high imo -

Rosicky's performance tonight was a disgrace - I groaned when I seen that he was starting and he lived up to my expectations
Cecs not fit I agree but he really went missing tonight as a leader of his team-mates and that disappoints and angers me tbh
Diaby is shit and always will be shit.....end of
Nasri's attitude tonight stank the camp nou out as far as I am concerned and he should be more ashamed of himself than anybody else  He gave clichy no fcuking protection all night but especially in the 2nd half and I know that if arshavin turned in that type of lazy performance he would be castigated on here. If that was disappointing his ball retention looked lazy on occasions and if it wasnt for dopey on the other wing he would have been my first choice to be subbed. Ironically on one of the few times he did retain possession he did really well and won the corner that we scored from

Memo to Gooners..........3-1 up with only a few mins to go and playing the keep ball that left our players chasing shadows but still not hearing any of that ole bullshit that is sooo common at the grove nowadays. Us Gooners could learn some humility from the barca fans tonight 8)

PS Fcuk off bendtner you useless *word censored*

I do not like make excuses about our performance but the ref did not help one bit tonight or are we just used to a different style of reffing a game in the PL?

Felt sorry for Clichy in the 2nd half with Nasri pushed further up the field he had no cover. Thought Koscielny and Djourou were great tonight(Djourou just needs to sort his passing out!). Sanga had little help from Rosicky and struggled.
Overall played well but were let down by the midfield cover

I think we lost it in midfield tonight, Fabregas was clearly not 100% fit, Rosicky offered little as help for Sanga or an outlet when we had the ball, Diaby again did not seem to know where he should be playing, Nasri did well in the 1st half covering with Clichy and trying to push forward but became more isolated in the 2nd half. Thought Wilshere had a great game showed some of the other players what they should be doing on the pitch.
So out of 5 midfield players only 2 were good enough and you are not going to beat Barcelona like that

RVP clearly not fit enough but tried to make things happen but had no help from the midfield(apart from Wilshere and Nasri in the 1st half) unlucky with the sending off

Almunia did well made himself big when players were through on goal got some lucky breaks with some of the saves but could do nothing about the goals.

My Arsenal man of the match J.Wilshere
Barca man of the match Massimo Busacca

Fabregas and the ref both sub-standard on the night.
Fab just not in the game. Ref took his job far too seriously.

Rosicky should not have been on the pitch at any time whatsoever. His form since return from injury has been shite. For what reason was he in the team? AA23 should have started.

Diaby just not good enough. You cannot afford to give the ball away so easily.

Bendtner gets a gilt edged chance, the sort a decent centre forward would lap up but this is Bendtner we are talking about.

Jack Wilshere is fast becoming an Arsenal legend. Skill passion and determination. Rosicky and Diaby should be polishing his boots as an act of respect to someone who is fit to wear the shirt.

Manuel did a decent job too and prevented an embarrassing scoreline. He needs to play like that to the end of the season.

Bring on the Mancs :barscarf:

No. No more resting players. Thats why we didn't win the CL group and got Barcelona.

First half we did very well, got unlucky with the goal in terms of it beign a moment of lunacy from Cesc. But they still ahd a lot to do.

Second half we came out better, got a goal and looked to be getting a foothold, but the sending off changed all that.It was an horrendous decision from the ref, we've had bad one after bad one recently.

The 2 goals were quite poor, Djourou fell over for that second one, and the third penalty was another example of Clichy not picking up his man and Kos having to come over.

Bendtner HAD to score, it was an easy chance. He should have hit it first time, or just taken it on the foot he was on. His first touch was horrendous.

All in all its no shame to go out to them, especially in the circumstances. My only gripe was that we didnt work for the ball enough, especially when there were 4 minutes added on.

Oh and someone wake Diaby up
