How Samuel Eto’o can transform Arsenal (11/5)

Post by gooner.ed »

usual thread starter... all sounds good, but not absolutely sure about the defensive stability. then again, barcelona have managed to get by with it, so who knows. maybe worth a try. certainly rather have eto'o and henry here than the pair of them in spain!

Eto"o would cost between £30-40 million can you imagine the present board giving Arsene that amount of money for one player,When they cant be sure if he will still be manager the following season. The only way we will get Eto"o at Arsenal is a straight swop with Henry

I love the 4-3-3 idea, not sure if we would need Eto as the main front man. Adebayor could play that position with Henry and Van Persie either side.

It would just leave a headache for Wenger to choose his 3 in midfield. I would have to go with Fabregas, Diaby, Gilberto

The report said a repoted £40mill for AW to spend, where did they hear this?

I dont think Adeybayor is clinical enough to do teh job eto would, he is great and I liek him in the team but he currently does scuff alot of chances and has a low shot to goal ratio. He is young and still improving, abd when he does hit a sweet shot they go in

as for midfield i totally agree, complete headache to choose three when we have so many. With only three I think its either Gilberto or diaby, need room in there for either rosicky or hleb

Totally agree with this article. The Gunners should realise that 40m pounds is not just to buy Eto'o. Its to have Henry, van Persie and Eto'o. Surely the most prolific strike force in world football. I would pay 50m pounds for that.

I agree it sounds good, but what about the defence. Our defending, even with Gilberto as a Makalele protector, has been shocking this season. Let's spend £150,000 on signing Keown as defensive coach.

Lets not forget we need a wide player also, infact we need a wide player more than we need a striker. Theres no way we can get both Etoo and Ribery with the amount of money we have. I think Ribery along with maybe a young striker like Huntelaar if possible would be decent enough.

I compleatly agree !!!!
These words could have been written from my heart, I do so, so, so wish for it to happen, not just the signing, but the opportunities 4-3-3 will give up. RVP would be a revalation in this methodology !
