As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

We have been utter pants but let's be honest if we'd won the cup and not the league the Wenger out brigade wouldn't change their tune anyway, the league is the only thing that matters.
Injury to Djourou is a major fucking concern. FFS
Shut up you idiot....
You made a wanker of yourself on here last week, "dear realists".
Fuckwit, sick of reading your bullshit.
So go and do something else. I'm not going to be bullied off here because you and some other people disagree with me. Forums are meant for discussion.
Maybe it's time for a very simple new rule on here - posts containing simple abuse of fellow fans with no other content to be deleted and warnings and bannings to result.
In over 20 years following home and away I never once had a conversation with a Gooner with anywhere near the level of vitriol and spite on here. So if it wouldn't happen n real life I don't see why it should be allowed here.

Where do you live brother? If you're in the NW4 area, pop round mine, we'll have a chat.
You say forums are meant for discussion, but you didn't half up the anti with you thread.

If we all worked together and used the energy we invest in this club it could actually make a difference. It might not but it might as well.
And I would think we'd rather take that chance instead of shrinking back if only for Arsenal. It's sad really because anyone who wanted to look at the reality could see this coming back in 2006 once we decided to re-develop Highbury and began breaking up the Invincibles in earnest to help pay for that decision.
Some here would rather just be heartbroken than stand and fight it seems and that just still is hard to imagine.
Really?
Focus on the players and the manager.
More like Wenger keeping faith in Diaby and Denilson who are not good enough for our club. I reckon a player like Coquelin would do better than either of them, same goes for Bartley. Both of which are already on our books.
Wilshere is a very good player but he was played too deep today, leaving RvP isolated.
Arshavin just does not work hard enough and is not physcially sharp enough, regardless of his excellent technical ability, his work rate is a fundamental problem.
Of couse you'd say that because you'd rather let the Board rob everyone blind than acknowledge it might be happening. As I say you think this is still 1930 and that nothing has changed at all. You're so in love with what we traditionally stand for you are terrified of the possibility that may no longer be the case, and you believe so much in what we used to satnd for you could not honestly ackowldge that we may no longer stand for that let alone protets that.
Do you think that if we had the same quality of 0players as we had from 2002-2005 throughout this team we wouild have played the same way? Yes or no. Do you really believe the manager has justr refused to spend money available to him to acquire similar players? Yes or no. Do you think the manager has simply lost the capacity to judge the quality of those players on viewing and coaching them? Yes or no. Do you really believe the Boared has made one effort to encourage spending more money on the football team? Yes or no.
But most of all do you really believe there was any benefit to Arsenal Football Club beyond increasing the share price in re-developing Highbury and did that justify the negative impact it had on the Football Team many actually consider to be Arsenal Football Club? Yes or no.
Love that. Who could do better? If only everyone could use that in defence of their performance.
We're still in 4 competitions. we're still in 4 compettions. we can still win the double. There;s still a chance in the league...
Havent you got it yet?
Who would you want to see as Arsenal manager then?
By rights Arsenal shouldn't have been competing for any of the competitions that we have done over the last few years, so you can't take all that progress but then start slagging off the manager when we don't win them.
Think about football as a whole rather than just Arsenal and see how we continually over-achieve compared to what a lot of our rivals are able to do - then you can see that we can't sit there and make out like our team is in decline when in all honesty we shouldn't have been competing for these trophies in the first place.
But in the last 7 years we have lost three cup finals and blown the league twice, that shows a lack of something important at the club and in the players / managers mentality.
We don't need much to get us over the line to make something other than nearly men, but Arsene refuses to do it. For what reason only he knows.
Glitch33 wrote:No point in slagging off AW or any of the players. We are where we are and have to see it through to the end of the season.
Under the circumstances I thought the boys played well today. It has been a difficult couple of weeks and we looked good and passed the ball well.
Shame about the finishing again but if they continue to play like that and they keep their chins up we can still win the Premiership.
A touch more urgency and and coolness in front of goal will see us through.
...United pretty much let us have possession in the middle of the park, same as Chelsea have done plenty of times over the last few years. When & where it mattered, our passing was slow, laboured, a step behind the player receiving the ball etc. Even when we had the ball, they were controlling the game.

I didn't say anything about it but let's be honest either cup alone is not good enough and the CL is well out of reach. Do you disagree on either point?
You only said that when we failed to win any of the above

We're paying one of the highest level of wages in the League, so of course we should be doing exactly what we are doing.
We pay the highest season tkt prices in Europe.
Who should replace Arsene. Not my job - perhaps your bank manager might say the same thing if you criticised him? Also, not the point.

I think you mean that the league is the only thing left
If the league was all that mattered then why did that c**t pick all bar clichy of his available players tonight then ?
I'm as surprised as anyone. I vowed to give up travelling to FA Cup matches after the 4-0 drubbing at OT. I said then if AW wasn't going to take the competition seriously then I wouldn't waste money on it.
Btw Diaby was shite in that game as well. I think away from home he is a shrinking violet. His few decent performances have all been at home.
Glitch33 wrote:Passing the ball into the net is our style of play and has been for years now. When it works it the best football in the country.
It works 75% of the time, usually against the shit teams. When it isn't working we have no other way of getting the ball in the net. Until we can come up with a plan B we'll continue to fall just short...

I'll ask again, do you disagree on either point? You sidestepped my question.
FWIW I can easily justify my opinion not that I have to.
1. Not everything I say or think is written on this forum.
2. Ever since we won the FA Cup vs Southampton, I realised how devalued it had become. A shame but that's the way it is. Arsenal has never been just a cup team, we win leagues. Cups are a bonus to turn leagues into doubles.

We're going through a bad run, it happens, its happened before and it will happen again. Sitting there calling Wenger and certain players c**ts is pathetic.
so what should we call them? heroes? or Wenger the God? or Wenger knows best?
...and this is the problem. You don't need to make these kind of overblown judgements. Tonight they lost a game which by and large they played well in. These things happen, and will always happen as long as you follow football. You don't need to sit there and make out Wenger must go - if that was the case he would have been gone long ago. We are not perfect, we aren't a Barcelona type team that beats every team they face, and the sooner you be more realistic with you expectations with Arsenal you might just see these things with a more balanced view. Until you can point out a more (realistic) alternative to the way things are currently done at Arsenal you need to just be grateful for the good times and take the bad times in your stride.
Its been a shit 2 weeks, but we've been there before and we can be there again and maybe next time we will do better. But don't make out like this team is a disgrace - we've got so much going for us we can't just give up every time we face a difficult period.
I'm gutted we lost today, we deserved more. We played well, but it wasn't happening for us today, and I'm more worried about the injury to Djourou than the result.
got so much going? we deserved more? you are really deluded just like Wenger. How long has this shit been going? no it's not just 2 weeks. It's YEARS man. Wake up and smell the flowers. And there is a realistic way to end all these and that is by getting a new manager
Deluded?
We've moved to a new stadium that we've been able to financially manage better than any other premiership team. We've got a decent scouting network and some very promising youngsters for the future.
For now though, we're 2nd in the league, got some truly quality players that play the kind of football that makes us stand-out not only in the Premiership but throughout Europe. We've had a decent season that no-one would have realistically predicted. Yeah, this season has been a real disaster.....be realistic with your expectations and you won't be disappointed and come here talking nonsense.
SO what? Do you earn money from it? I dont think you do, so, fuck this off.
Supporters must concentrate on TITLES, not money. They take care of the money and we take care of the titles.
