THAT'S IT

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Not happy with team, but you sound spoilt. I had to live through mid eighties.
Yea I'm spoilt! Mug.

I've been to every cup final we've fucked up in, and travelled everywhere to watch em bottle it time and time again!!! It's fans like you that keep us making up the numbers just to sit there and say 'coor, I'd rather be us than them' Well actually I wouldn't. What do you want another 6 years of being nearly men, whilst we buy NOONE????? We have not an ounce of character in that team except Jack, VP and Nasri!!! Name me another? Any of em. Look at those 2 little twin pricks running the show! We're a joke. Enjoy it there, but I'm spoilt right? What cause I think a dictator who sits on our money whilst we can clearly see what's needed but refuses to move away from his stubborness so that if by some miracle he does win something he can say I spent nothing, we have the quality etc whilst every other team think we're a laughing stock and we get smashed at EVERY SINGLE opportunity to do something!!! No, you enjoy that and get spoilt with fuck all, cause lifes too short and theres better stuff for me to spen £1700 on a year!! :banghead: :banghead:
Haha. Just read this.

You come off as very spoilt actually, yeah. Did you buy your own season ticket age 7? haha.

It says you have gone to games since 1993, so you have seen an initial dull but successful period, followed by a few turgid seasons, then it has been a golden era under Wenger.

But now we have a few seasons of no silverware you decide to run away.

Mug am I?

Honestly pal, you come off like one of those Man Utd fans who thinks they have a divine right to success.

Your £1700 guarantees you nothing except a seat at the game.

You are either a fan or not, but don't make your support dependent on our success.

"Fans like me". What you know about me?

Very little I would say. Try reading some of my posts to see if I think all is rosy in the garden. It is far from rosy.

But I still support the team.

Or are you going to pick a new team to support now?

By all means do you see on this two players the potential of likes of Bergkamp, Henry, Viera, Pires etc...... this two players are not eaven a shadow of them. This two are the superstars of our team, but please compare them to other teams superstars?
We do owerrate them, thats why dont win notin, because we dont have winers. They might be good alongside superstars, but this players we do have are not.

I lived through the early/mid eighties and yes we were poor, but it cost not that much to go and watch the team.

There has to be consequences for failure, but with 60k tickets sold each home game, season ticket waiting lists etc. its difficult to have any effect by voting with your feet. But I can't blame a gooner for deciding not to renew their season ticket because its becoming a pretty joyless experience. Let remember that if we don't win anything this season then the barren years are equal to the trophy winning years under Wenger.

I resolve to enjoy the rest of the season because I've mentally written-off our chances of winning the league. Each game will be a day out and that's it. No expectation, no pressure.

Rapidly losing faith. Repeated fundamental flaws in way team plays, lack of defensive discipline and reliance on under performing players is testing my faith in him to the limit.

Absolutely fuming, this has got to be the worst I've been pissed off with Arsenal in years, the final defeat 2 weeks ago I was more upset than angry, this time I've already took a leaf out of Wenger's book and blamed a yellow pages book on the floor for our loss, instead of a bottle. It will never give correct numbers again.

Same old fucking shit, year in, year out we see the same signing one or two players signed in the summer who aren't proven in England while Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool and even fucking Spurs now sign big name players guaranteed to get them somewhere. Same old "we are mentally strong/we can do it/we must fight for silverware" from the players on pravda, yet when the big occasion comes they fuck up every time. Our most cherished assets get fed up, which leads to them wanting to go. I'm sure the older fans on here will look at this team and be frustrated too and be thankful we're better off than we once were, but to not want Wenger out now totally lacks ambition and acceptance of mediocrity. :banghead:

I used to stick by Wenger non-stop, non-fucking stop and really thought this would be it! Today after the injustice of midweek, I thought we'd batter that 2 bob line-up that Fergie put out, but no. We have no bollox bottle or anything!!

I'm 25 now, been a season ticket holder since the age of 7, yep 7, and this year I won't be renewing. I am not even turning up to the next home game! I used to love this club, and have travelled all over the world to see them. When your fans of Blackburns and Bolton go, you're joking, I'd like to see that every week! What us make up the fucking numbers and get out witted by eveyone in football whilst paying for a ticket what they pay for 10, whilst their clubs spend more money than us??! No chance.

Think Arsene was very lucky in the beginning now when I look at it! Inherited a great defence, and back bone, Bergkamps etc and David Dein used to make sure he'd spend, now he's got free reign, we're absolutely inept! Buy three proper players in Jan and we'd have won the Carling Cup at least and probs been in either the Champs League or FA cup still and gone onto win the Prem. Now we'll win fuck all!!!

Fuming! Tada from me Arsenal!!! All you'll get is my Sky subscription!! So pissed off right now!
Superb post, couldnt agree more...Have been following Arsenal home and away now for over 10 years now, ok at the beginning there was the glory which made trips to the likes of Barnsley and Bolton seem more enjoyable. But i have still been doing the same trips since our last trophy in 2005. I am just as loyal as anyone on this forum but i feel i am being shafted week in week out by a club who does not give a flying f&ck about me or any of the other thousands of fans out there. the more i look at the wider picture the more i feel like a kid at school who knows who the bully is but does nothing about it... I have been fuming for the last few seasons now at the high ticket prices, lack of funds spent on transfers, high price of food and drink in the stadium (even though i don't touch it) and it gets to the point where enough is enough... When i got told in 2003 that we are moving to a new stadium to compete with europes best financally i seriously bought into it, i mean who wouldn't. The fact that Spurs, villa and Liverpool have spent more than us in the last few years without the so called revenue from gate receipts, champions league football etc just makes me more mad. I can see our club being made a laughing stock where i have to sit back and take it even though i agree 100% with the people doing the laughing. We all come on here and get things off our chest but us fans seriously need to make a point to the club we arn't taking this crap anymore.... Every year it's the same .... think we will buy a couple of players in the summer, don't, win few games, top players get injured, no one to replace them, expect to buy someone in january, don't, drop points, injuerd players come back, go on winning run, get to march more injuries, drop out of all competitions, injured players come back, win meaningless games at end of season, wenger promises we will come back stronger next year.

That, my friend, could be the club's motto.
