Heres an idea get USMARTY to start a thread about the board or now that i think of it just let him ramble on any of the threads that have nothing to do with the board and eventually people will nod off or pick up a gun or go to the roof or a window. You get where im going with this

You're right. He drives me nuts. On my way to the roof.mcdowell42 wrote:Chippy wrote:Gonna say it on most threads tonight if it kicks off.mcdowell42 wrote:Chippy wrote:OK I am as pissed off as the next man but there is too much abuse and too many repeat threads on here at the moment. It is coming to a head. Being so close to 3 at least of the four we were in and coming up empty handed is unacceptable after five barren years. I found it telling that Gordon Strachan was being all sympathetic and nice about Arsenal. The football world knows that failure this season has to result in significant change at Arsenal and the end of the Arsene Wenger experiment.
I don't think we will win the league. My prediction is that we will lose 3 games, win 3 or 4 and draw 3 or 4. 15 more points maximum, which should see us in 3rd place again.

Please read more carefully. I was talking about Wenger resigning, not about him being sacked.USMartin wrote:We need change but will it come just with a new manager?
Or will sacking the manager buy the Board more time to keep the spending down, and what changes for the better if that continues?
Wenger's project, whatever that might be, is on its last legs. It's painfully obvious to see.
We seem to be living through AW's world of permanent future, that somehow never comes

But he has to win League in order to prove many of us wrong. And I hope he does. That much I can still give him.

It may be forced upon him. If the story is to be believed (I know the source is shit) but perhaps the Chairman is getting a little fed up of him.

I've been a fan since the late 60's, so I've seen plenty of crap and I believe Arsene has transformed the club and I've always trusted him. He's brought us to a position where we're in the top dozen clubs in Europe but he and we want more. We've got the set-up but the last few weeks have clearly shown where we are. Better than most teams, but even with a strong team the 'pass it slow, pass it square' tactic doesn't work with the players we've got. And when we have to look to the bench we're scraping the barrel.
Einstein described insanity as doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different outcome. Wenger puts Diaby (looks like Bambi on ice), Denilson, Bendtner etc on and expects them to perform.
I'M LOSING THE FAITH!!!!
We need players that do well against Surrey Utd and Barca, not just against Wigan and Blackpool.
It would be a near impossible job for a new manager (see liverpool, Chelski, Inter etc) but the time may have come.

Re: Win a league, or resign.
Agreed. Been thinking this myself.skipper wrote:Let's make this as simple and as clear as possible. This is not a overreaction, just a sober and rational thought.
Arsene Wenger should win League for Arsenal this season or he should do an honorable thing and resign in May.
There simply isn't any more time to wait or any more room for excuses. This really should be his last chance.
His footballing philosophy has run its course.
We need a change.
AFC!

No more of the same old - did the same thing with Graham in 1991 after the Old Trafford dust-up.storrmin571 wrote:http://www.dailystar.co.uk/football/vie ... FORGET-IT/

See this is what people love about our club - all that we aren't like other clubs stuff, with the public schooled owners and all that.
Actually I think I do and no one else wnats to know the truth or try to do anything about it. I could be wrong but then again maybe John Gotti wasn't bribing those juries. We have to stop acting like we have a teflon Board and start asking or even pushing them to be more candid or else we deserve whatever we get after they cash in.Chippy wrote:Martin you really have no idea have you?USMartin wrote:We need change but will it come just with a new manager?

You just proved my point. Gooners are in mourning for another season where we were so close. Nobody apart from you wants to have a debate about the fucking board!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!USMartin wrote:Actually I think I do and no one else wnats to know the truth or try to do anything about it.
