Great post, I think it might be he right time at the end of the season, no matter what we do, time for a sight change.clockender1 wrote:I've been a loyal supporter of him for 14 years, but like George his time has come and gone.
in two weeks we've been second best to Brum, clueless against Barca away, and lightweight against a second string manyoo.
No plan B. Not enough pace up front. We are still relying on two fragile forwards with no squad depth - wheres the alternative to Walcott ???
We won't win the league, we wouldn't be close if Chelswee hadn't of collapsed.
Come the summer a new manager should off load Rosicky, Denilson, Diaby, Arshavin and Clichy.
Buy - a world class keeper, a world class centre back, and someone to cover for walcott who can cross and has great pace.
if we have to spend 80 million do it.
pass pass pass is done for.
lets try defence, pace up front and width

The first mistake a rostinter like yourself makes is coming onto a forum like this one, in the hope of changing everyones views to your own.Demun210 wrote:No, this is my first time out on this forum.Irish Gooner wrote:Demun you seem like you have came here with preconceived ideas. Or in an attempt to force a change of the view of many members of this board, which sadly happens all too often.
Which brings me to my next point, are you a previous member under a new name because it appears so.
I'm just annoyed with the Arsenal fans these days who seem to have lost touch with reality. Unfortunately, I notice these kinds of fans more and more when I go to games and these people are all over the internet spewing all kinds of rubbish, making out that every defeat or tough period deserves the team to be booed at full time, or an excuse to get on fan forums and start making out that our team has problems far greater than the actual reality of what's happening.
Sitting online or in the pub etc, talking all kinds of shite every time we draw/lose, or a player has a bad game, doesnt make you a "real" fan because think you're being constructive...alot of the time it's just an over reaction to quite normal things that happen throughout the course of the season for most teams.
In the real world, we've not got major problems. Sure, we've gone out of some competitions, and there are one or two players who frustrate us, but to sit on these forums being all dramatic doesn't solve anything. Just like when the full time whistle goes at the Emriates and you get those people who boo when we dont win, I feel like these "fans" do nothing to support the team and that we're getting a growing reputation as being one of the most fickle set of supporters in the country. When I come onto a forum like this and see people talking absolute nonsense about the team just for the sake of having a moan becuase we didnt win a particular game, it's difficult to take because these are fans I want to be amongst and be part of when we support our team.
What will happen with you my friend, is sniping between you and others, after a while slowly, you will come to our own view, the "realist" view we like to call it.
I've yet to see a rosetinter with the same faith in Wenger as when he first joined the forum.
In fact I used to be a rosetinter, around the start of 08/09 that stopped, when it was firmly established this club was more concerned with a vanity project and profits, than it was trophies and the supporters.

Whilst we have a good financial basis, a high league position, a glut of exciting youth players and a good stadium with a great pitch, I am convinced that we have fundamental problems.Demun210 wrote:

1 - The defense is not properly organised and loses concentration.
2 - Our first eleven is very good but the squad lacks depth.
3 - We appear to have more than our fair share of mid and long term injuries.
4 - Our captain has openly declared he wants to leave.
5 - Our manager is tactically weak.
These might be remedied by:
1 - Bringing in a defensive coach (Keown or Dixon?).
2 - Buying three top level players (Centre back, defensive midifielder, striker) and playing the best of our youth and returning loanee players next season.
3 - A thorough investigation into training, medical and rehabilitation processes at the club.
4 - Making Cesc club captain but making Wilshere team captain.
5 - Either a new manager or a new face on the coching staff who Wenger will listen to (doubtful!).

I was there on May 15, 2004 when we lifted the PL trophy having completed an entire season unbeaten. It was a tremendous day and occasion, but in the back of my mind I was also disappointed by the fact that we'd not won more silverware that season; namely, the CL and FA Cup. I felt slightly guilty for not being quite as happy as I should've been, but I also got the impression that the players had slight regrets as well, and the occasion could definitely have been more of a carnival if other trophies had been brought home. But regardless, we were champions and unbeaten, and looked set to dominate English football - and potentially European football - for years to come.Demun210 wrote:I'm just annoyed with the Arsenal fans these days who seem to have lost touch with reality.
If you'd told me on that day that in the next seven seasons we'd only win one FA Cup, I probably would've started crying (if I even believed you). We were the best club in the land, and the best club in Europe - but without the trophy to show it. We could have, and should have, attracted the biggest stars in the world, who would've been queueing up to play alongside some of the world's greatest ever players. But, in an amazing turn of events, Wenger incredulously decided to dismantle our squad and bring in Eboue, Diaby, Denilson and Bendtner. There's no doubt that Wenger is single-handedly at fault, for failing to capitalise on our dominance and position in world football circa 2004.
And then this poster has the audacity to tell me that I've lost touch with reality? If what you really mean is that I should get used to the fact that Wenger has slowly ruined Arsenal FC, and that the "reality" is that we just don't win trophies anymore, then yes, I have lost touch with that.
Anyone who is happy to be in this position, when we could still be dominating the game, is an absolute mug and is preventing the club from moving forward.

This wont happen because it would mean dictator Wenger admiting he was wrong

Just like he did last summer
3 - A thorough investigation into training, medical and rehabilitation processes at the club.
I agree but once again it would mean Wenger admitting he was wrong
4 - Making Cesc club captain but making Wilshere team captain
Wenger doesnt care who is captain even RVP and Almunia have been captain this season.Wenger says we have a team of captainsand Cesc will be in Spain next season![]()

We are good supporters
Lets face it we got behind the team and even in the face of evidence proving otherwise we believed we would win something.
Fact is deep inside nothing really changed from the past few season with the exception of Van Persie being fit at long last.
We didnt just lose to Man United we lost to a United with no midfield and we lost badly again.
I dont know about you lot but it was head in hands time for me yesterday and the dream really is over.
I want to respect Wenger for the success he did bring us but for him to say that this team is better than the 2004 team is an insult to us and them.
Im sure Henry would have had a hat trick at half time vs these lot.
I gave Diaby 2 years of loyal support but he gave me nothing in return. Thats goes for the players that I dont need to mention because you all know.
I love Arsenal as do you all its just a shame a huge part of the Arsenal squad dont.

There are plenty of managers who would jump at the chance of managing Arsenal. It wouldn't be that hard to make this club successful, even if it was just one of the domestic cups. But more importantly, it wouldn't be hard to show the fans that players who don't cut the mustard are out, that a new manager is tactically aware, and that problem areas will be addressed.
It really wouldn't be that difficult and if the board weren't supportive of a new manager then it would soon become apparent.
Van Gaal and Mourinho are both supposed to be leaving their jobs this summer so there you go, two suggestions!
