The way to get their attention

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Seriously though, Im no lawyer but I really don't think we can use this. I think the club would sue and whoever is liable would have a pay a lot of money.

Does anyone know the person who owns the @TheArsenal_ account? He has nearly 3,000 followers.

Sadly I think you're right and that is a shame. But there's other good names out there to use and we may be able to get away with using it as a motto perhaps?
Still, I'll keep the signature it looks great (nice work Dan85)

Anything that campaigns for"Wenger Out" or "The Board Out" is doomed.
It is too cliched, and by it's very nature encourages resistance against it.

Focus should be on getting the manager to buy more top quality players/improving the coaching.

And that is it.

Anything else such as ticket prices, relations with the club, etc is pointless, as there already exist fan organisations to deal with that, which have regular meetings with the club.

Our focus must be on changing the frustration of seeing a squad that has been "So near yet so far" for the last five years.
Good point, we dont want something which is covered by other organisations but then there are things which come under the remit of other organisations but are doing f**k all about it, namely ticket prices.
If I thought I could make a huge difference on ticket prices I would join AST and AISA myself and try to change things.

This campaign really should be focused on the team and the players and the coaching. Any overlap with another group reduces the interest of the press to cover it, and diffuses the message.

Exactly, well said.

Agree Quartz, no gooner in their right mind won't support a group that wants improvement in the team, the coaching, profits being spent on the team and less piss taking with the fans.

Im sure this has been said many times before but a slogan or chant could be "We want trophies not profits."

The thing with a sit in is, the nazis clear people out and have seen them doing it?

Good website and definitely some help if there is another group starting.

To be honest IG you just have to check out the news page of the website to find that it isnt the most active of groups. And I've never seen a group at a game wearing their overpriced scarves either, just the very odd one or two. I really didnt and dont like the "Black scarf" movment as its aims are just a bit too broad, and the whole merchandising thing totally put me off. In my opinion they saw how well the green and gold scarves sold at the mancs and just kinda jumped on the bandwagon in order to cash in. So rule 1 of this protest group.....NO MERCHANDISE OR CASHING IN. If Funds are needed then the members of the protest group should put their hand in their pockets.

Now onto the new protest group, it really wont work unless you get numbers behind you, and as quartz pointed out, you need a definate definition of what you stand for.

Is it wenger out? Spend money? Wenger out, get someone new to spend money?

I think that unless you have ONE real focus area (e.g. Wenger out/ Spend Money on player), then you chance alienating many. Me for example. I dont want Wenger to be sacked. I want Wenger to start spending some of the money that WE have given our club and money we all know they are sitting on. Id also like to see wenger admit he has got it wrong by not bringing in a higher of level of player that could have seen us win trophies, anyway back to the point, for it to work you need to have one main goal, only then will you get the type of numbers that would get the group recognition.

I honestly think if you went down the Wenger Out route, you wouldnt get the numbers at all. Spend Money is something that could and would get more interested. The Arsenal FC, Not PLC is almost perfect.

If we can generate enough interest that shouldnt be too much of a problem though. The stewards can only deal with a certain amount of people. Thats why we need a protest on the streets first to get this interest.
