The way to get their attention

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

A website will be paramount, Facebook and Twitter just wont be enough. We could get a free hosted site or pay for the domain ourselves. Not entirely sure how much it'll cost, but if we a few or all of us chipped in, it'll be fairly cheap to run and maintain.

We need someone to write up a little paragraph, just saying what this is all about. Personally, after reading alot of comments, I think Quartz would be great for this. Something short but puts the campaigns point across.

We can then start to generate followers on both the facebook page and the twitter. Get tweeting the Journo's, John Cross at the mirror is a gooner. Once we've got a bit of an audience, we can really start getting our points across and hopefully the club will see and take note.
Very good basis, I just checked and the to register the domains arsenalfcnotplc.com and co.uk would only cost £15 but then obviously the hosting costs etc.

I am fully committed to the cause so count me in.
Has anyone got experience in this field? Its important to get the domain quickly before someone nicks it or it becomes more valuable.
I can register them but are we going with arsenalfcnotplc.com and .co.uk?
How much for both? I would say .com if its just one though.

How big should the committee be? How many people in it? Who?

@timpayton: #AFC ticket price increases for 2011/12 will raise circa £5m. If AFC had won CL group and secured path to QFs an extra £8m is earned.

The image on twitter, the plain, modern badge, on the current ground. Wasn't the move to the ground and possibly even the change to the current badge basically selling our history/traditions so the club could become more corporate and line their pockets?

We even have a bank account which has been used to produce a banner.

It's all down to timing. It ain't about wearing a scarf, it's about like-minded.

The banner contains the message LET'S KICK GREED OUT OF FOOTBALL.

Rather than a number of groups setting up, why not take another look.

Some of you may ask why they haven't heard a lot from the BSM recently. Well the simple answer is it takes up a lot of time, and in our case, our own money.

There's always many pleading for something to be done but when it comes down to it they rearely put themselves up for it.

I suggest you take another look so that we're not duplicsating our efforts. You may find that the foundations that have been built are a suitable platform to take to the next level.

reg - what are the specific benefits of merging you can highlight/recommend?

Thought about that and was going to suggest the old crest but thats not what we're about, thats more the Black Scarve's remit.

We just want the money spent to turn this team into credible challengers and the defensive coaching improved.

It was to copyright the logo.

I had no problem with the club doing that in principle, why should someone who is not even a fan of us bootleg merchandise and the funds not go to the club?

I had a problem with the actual look of the badge though, much more attached to the traditional ones, but to be honest I just accept it now. Much more concerned with the players.

If you change the logo to the old crest it might confuse some younger fans.

My thoughts are run with the new one but maybe have a poll on here?

While I believe the ideas are sound, my personal opinion on the aims you have given Quartz is that:

It is basically to close to telling Wenger how to do his job. Telling Wenger to buy 3 players, to coach defense and to let go of the average rubbish are all what we want.

But the board/Wenger will not listen to these claims, as they will see it as some noisey fans telling AW how to do his job.

It's a tough task.

I mean I want lower ticket prices and in fact we are raising them, I want Wenger out of the club.

Agreed Quartz, I was worried using the original logo might distract from the aims of the group.

My aims would be:

1. The board to spend money on new players.

2. A defensive coach to be brought in, Martin Keown ideal.

Maybe a third point could be asking for greater transparency from AW and the board?
