What do you guys think about the mission statement?

1.) To encourage the club to visibly invest in quality players, to allow Arsenal to compete for the major club competition trophies domestically and in Europe.

2.) To seek clarity over the club's youth policy, with particular regard to the policy of rewarding young players with long term contracts that have increased the club's annual wage bill yet not resulted in trophies.

3.) To understand the PLC's longer term vision and strategy. As supporters we have clear goals and ambitions, measured by winning trophies. As an organisation involved in various business sectors, but whose principle activity is a football club, we believe that this should also be the clear and measured objective of the PLC.

I just think we need to add something in about having to pay the highest ticket prices in the world. We should have a team to match this. I would perhaps say the board should either invest the money in the team or lower ticket prices. The planned 6-8% season ticket increase should help our cause.

These 3 points are very good. If you were thinking about adding soething about ticket prices, it should be along the lines of....as we pay the highest ticket prices in the world we would like to see investment in some world class players.

i've said it before....to the board it's a business and to the players that happily plod on (doesn't include cesc, jack, RvP) it's a well-paid job. to be honest, it wasn't that for aw, originally, but he well and truely lost his way when the only board-member who knew or cared anything about football left.

I think there may some truth to that although that situation has worked out so strangely really I am not entirely sure, though I agree with Mr. Dein Mr. Wenger really lost his way or maybe his will to stand ofr what was best for the team.

Exactly right, its got to the point when some fans do deserve it. For there blind faith and there sheep like ways. I sometimes look around me (well Wembley) and I didn’t feel at home, I didn’t feel like I was with other gooners. They could have been Brum fans for all I cared. The new breed of fans are passionless *word censored* who I have no time for.

An objective has to be acheivable ? So each season only 1 team can win the League/FA/CL/CC.

If you set the objective to win a trophy EVERY year and you don't, you've failed your objective ? So what do you do ? Sack the manager ? And if the next guy comes in and fails, do you sack him ? The coaching staff ? A manager will be on a 3 year contract normally as a minimum generally

We on the other hand are Arsenal who are close to winning the league every fucking year but due to stubbornness from that old French idiot we don’t.

Would rather be in Tottenham’s position when they know all they can win is a cup and getting 4th is the main ambition for the FANS and the club.

I think you should be wary of such generalisations mate. As has been discussed on other threads, going back way back when the old east and west stands were full of maybe more middle class people, who often went to the game, clapped and cheered when we scored applaueded the team etc.

Just because someone doesn't want to get pissed out of their head, take half a bottle of JD in with them and shout themselves hoarse doesn't make them a passionless c*nt.

Personally I am in line with your approach to the match day ritual

But I certainly wouldn't hold it against those who are less loud/agressive with their support, and when my kids are old enough to go (and if I can afford it) I will probably tone down the language and boozing on a match day. I wouldn't expect others to tho..

I am very angry and more importantly upset and that is worse.

I am just trying to be objective mate. But you can't expect to win every season can you ? That's all I am saying mate.

I am no way suggesting we should be happy with it, but just because we are Arsenal, does not give us a devine right to win things.

Just got in and seen this. What an absolute disgrace! We've gone from Invincibles to Invisibles in a matter of 7 years just so a few people can pocket a few extra quid. Fucking unbelievable!
