Should We Tone It Down A Bit?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Should We Tone It Down A Bit?

Post by AA23Northbank »

Lads, a bit of perspective here:

I am as angry as a lot of you are on here and will be 100% behind the protest and will try and give support in any way possible. But I have been thinking and perhaps some of us do need (myself included) to tone down the level of our anger. I'll probably get shouted down for this, but we need support for our protest and going on .com and abusing them and calling Wenger a *word censored* isn't exactly going to win us that many friends, particularly with those who may be annoyed with Wenger and could potentially support our cause. I understand the frustration and anger, but I think it is time to reign it in otherwise our protest could be ridiculed before it even gets off the ground.

It won't get off the ground regardless, I agree things need to change, i.e. better players and some of the dross sold on but I draw the line at calling Wenger these childish names, sounds like a load of 14 year olds who have just had their first can of stella.

If this happens even i will admit i am wrong

I dream of the day i can say i was wrong so i can be the *word censored* that got it all so wrong.

Hate being proved right over and over and over again. Despite all our big wins this season i am back to reality the morning after knowing it means nothing.

The only way I see it happening is if we don't have to play Diaby, Denilson, Squillaci, Rosicky or Bendtner and sadly we probably will

 Just saying we need to focus on the protest and what we hope to achieve with it rather than have a slanging match with other gooners

I just think we need to reign ourselves in with some of our criticisms of other gooners and the boss and focus on the protest and what we hope to achieve. Am still fully behind it :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

The aim of the whole protest is not to do it now but to wait, and if things do go wrong then we will be ready and hopefuly have enough support by the time it gets to late april/may.

yeh i agree. However we do need to get the banners started now. This wont cause any problems with the team but will market us with the media.
