It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

The ONLY part of this I would say I possible agree with, is the complaints about ticket prices. But then they practically sell out AG every league game so of course they are going to do it.
fickle ? I've had major gripes with the way we were being ran since 2006. If you want to pretend everything is fine at arsenal , the birds are singing , denilson is the new socrates, we're going to win the league then your only fooling yourself.
In the grand scheme of things any team that is playing Champions League football season in, season out really has nothing to complain about. Are there improvements to be made? Yes of course there are, but you try talking to people about this planned protest outside of these whinging Arsenal fans and you'll get laughed at. Save yourself the embarrassment if nothing else.
We pay the highest ticket prices in the world, yet don't spend any of that money. We deserve to know why the money isn't being spent. I can't believe they had the cheek to increase season ticket prices by over 6%!!!
Apparently if we had won our group and gone through to the quarter finals then we would've earned £8m, the season ticket increase is earning us £6m. Buying better players = more trophies and more money!!!

Nasri, Vermaelan, Arshavin, Koscielny. These players didn't come cheap. The club put their hand in their pocket. I know players like Squillaci haven't worked out well, but he was intended as a squad player, and Arsenal aren't going to spend fortunes on squad players. We wreckless spenders like Chelsea & Manchester City.
We are the wreckless spenders, 4th highest wage bill in the Prem on average players like Bendtner, Denilson and Eboue.

So if we qualify for the CL for the next 10 years but don't win it or don't win anything else, you'd be happy with that and have nothing to complain about?
why are you arguing with him Jayson? He wont change his mind on what you say and visa versa

Sorry Papa.
Thats it son
Demun is a deluded fool who (like the sp*rs fans of the 80's/90's) is happy to watch pretty but ultimately fruitless football. Unfortunately there are many at the Grove like him but dont turn this thread into an argument or it will lose its basis as a protest organisational thread

What about those that oppose the idea?
The main objective is;
To encourage the club to develop a clear investment strategy, made visible to its fanbase, that will allow Arsenal to compete for the major club competitions
Arsenal have been competing for the major club competition in world football and competitions in their country.
As I type Arsenal have a game in hand which could send them top of the Premier League (widely regarded at the most competitive football league in the world). Arsenal have the second-best goals for record and one of the best defensive records in that league.

Look at us behind those reckless spenders everton, fulham and birmingham.

This set-up is very naive.

I want the club's eyes opened!
Mate, we moved into a new stadium only a few years ago. Of course we aren't going to spending beyond our means.
To all these people moaning about what we do or dont spend, do you really want our club to do a Leeds? There's so many examples of clubs that have nearly gone to the wall because they have been so badly managed financially, I don't want that for Arsenal. It's not like we dont spend on players, we've paid some decent fees for players through the years.
if you dont like idea leave the thread alone. We are trying to do something here.

Theres no suggestion of doing a leeds but can't you see from my example how spending money would negate the need to hurt fans in the pocket so badly.
Finally, the wages some players are on are an absolute disgrace.
When is the first meet then people? Think we need to set this group up properly.
As i said i am there for the cause and Merse_10 will be with me.
Think were both better off on the front line, when the time comes.
