As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

for sure this will bring some stability into a dodgy back four with squidky and kos in it !

I've been a fan of doing that for a while - you could play Gibbs and Clichy either way round. It can at least be tried for spells in matches if not even the starting line-up. Two benefits as I see it:
1. Some pace at last - without Walcott this really is becoming AW's slowest ever Arsenal team
2. In the bigger games some bloody cover for the full back. Sick and tired of seeing two players double up on one while AA23 and Rosicknote scratch their arses. That's how the Baggies beat us at Emirates
and what positive suggestions do u have ,,,,,,,,none as per usual .looking forward to seeing your campaign fella ,really am
I just dont think playing eboue and Clichy on the right is a viable option. Weve seem whay a disaster Eboue is when he plays on the right and playing Clichy in an unfamiliar position is wreckless away from home. Gibbs on the left i would be ok with as he has played there with the reserves but the back 4 needs to be kept as strong as possible.

John Cross has just spotted Wenger stepping out of a DeLorean on his way back from 1993 with Steve Morrow (broken arm and all) ready to sign up as back-up to Almunia so Jens can play sweeper. We're on our wayyy...
