2.) We seek clarity over the club's youth policy, in particular pay rises for young players, which have increased the club's wage bill considerably but not resulted in trophies.

3.) We seek to understand the PLC's longer term vision and strategy. We respect the social obligations and wider business interests of the PLC, but are concerned that the football team winning trophies is no longer the PLC's main priority.

What do you think of these as the movement's aims?
Have amended point 2 based on Belfast Boy, DB10Gooner, Augie and Flash's posts especially good opinions regarding wages, wage structure and type of player Wenger now buys. Have missed out mentioning wages ( I know USMartin is keen on this point) because Gazidis could turn round and wipe the floor with us and say every club has increased wages, even to youth players.
But I have shifted emphasis onto inbalance between youth and experience, something that may fans have complained about and can then be looked at in more detail further down the line, and wages can be raised as a point in a situation where people might get a bit of time to question Gazidis, rather than one question which could be answered by saying "Wages have been raised at all clubs".

Have slightly amended point 1 as Arsenal1991 phrased, good to use that word "re-invest". I think the point now reflects the view that we have cash in the bank, and it should be spent on players.

Thoughts please, latest mission statement edits.

1.) To encourage the club to reinvest the high ticket prices in the playing squad so that it reflects the increased revenues from the new stadium.

2.) We fans support the development of youth players, who improve by gaining experience and by learning from older players. We worry there is an over reliance on youth, at the expense of older professionals.

3.) We seek to understand the PLC's longer term vision and strategy. We respect the social obligations and wider business interests of the PLC, but are concerned that the football team winning trophies is no longer the PLC's main priority.
Cracking and extremely well put there Quartz..!

The statement is not confrontational or saying the club is a disaster, just an expression of heartache from a wide range of fans who have seen same old mistakes repeated since 2006.

Thoughts please?

1.) We pay high ticket prices, so encourage reinvestment in proven players to improve the squad.

2.) We support the development of youth players, but worry there is an over reliance on youth, at the expense of older professionals whom the youth can learn from.

3.) We respect the social obligations and wider business interests of the PLC, but seek clarity that winning trophies remains the core objective.
in my opinion those 3 points are just about spot on now, in 1 the word encourage is a bit weak but ok
How about want to see?

We pay high ticket prices, so want to see more reinvestment to improve the squad.

Or We pay high ticket prices, so want reinvestment in proven players to improve the squad.
This.

How about this for point one?

Puts the onus on club to buy players rather than increase the wages of existing ones?

USMartin wants inclusion about wage structure at this stage.

Myself I think it is something to introduce later on in detailed talks with the club, as it is not something immediately known about to the average fan and not something that can be a populist hook, it feels very specialised for a general mission statement.

Thoughts please?
Jayson and you are right for the introductory efforts wage structure is not needed its just gives people more to read and think about - again for a flyer. It would be essential for a webpage and as Jayson points out the points addressed directly to the club. I think it could be added onto point two at that point or made into another point of its own following point two.

I don't think we can hold it back until the talks but agree fully its premature now for this. Iwill show you you in a moment:

I changed up the points a bit to make them even shorter and simpler and also to make it read more smoothly - the goal here is to get someone to takke the minute or two to read that understand what we are about and understand they want to join or at least support our efforts, and to show them how they can quickly and easily

ARE YOU CONCERNED ABOUT ARSENAL’S DIRECTION

CONCERNED

That we aren’t investing enough in improving the team as needed?

That we are over-relying on inexperienced underproven players?

That the football team’s success is not the club’s first priority anymore?

Then Join Us at Arsenal FC, Not A PLC

We encourage the club to reinvest the profits from League-high ticket prices back into in the playing squad.

We support the development of youth players, but also support the acquisition of older proven professionals whom the youth can learn from.

We respect the social obligations and wider business interests of the PLC, but seek clarity that Arsenal winning trophies remains the core objective.

Added this bit because the questions get the attention but are brief and feed right into the three points below

Like that idea Jayson. Though I also hope we have a flyer for a match day in there - gets our position directly to the people who need to know it most now, but agree fully about using that online as well.

I like it but not sure where we can use it yet?!

We need a short bio now for twitter and facebook. I think we should post the three aims in three tweets and a post on facebook, if we've agreed. :?:
