Oh right! I was a bit confused when the writer said his first game was in the 60s considering your username

would be great to get space in the OG fanzine. Used to read it all the time before I joined this place. Does anyone know if they still do the "Dwight Hart Lane" cartoon strip?  :barscarf:

what initially started as a "we want action and f*cking quick"
"we want money spent and f*cking quick"
"we want wenger held accountable for his mistakes"

has turned into a watered down pile of shit

too many youth players?
i'd like more like lansbury, jet and bartley to be given a chance, not held back

we want experience?
then you will get denilshit and diaby and squilachi instead of those youth players because they have the experiance you're calling for.

season tickets are too much?
i'd pay 6% more if i knew it'd be spent on quality players.focus on the money going OUT not IN

so much for us taking our club back ay?

edit; just read that the open letter is not from fcnotplc so apologies.

however, still feel its been watered down too much.was all up for a protest on the terraces(if only) and let wenger.denilson and co know how we really feel about them.
make no mistake.....wenger will not be protested into making any signings and the board will not sack a man who lines their trousers without asking for so much as a plant for his office
Relaz and have a Duffman - we ant a positive change not a some gourious suicide mission. We have to set up the group and why the group exists, then once that is done we can take some real action.

We protest now and a reporter asks "Why are you protesting...what are protesting"

If you ask that right now whoever maybe our spokesman can say "Uhhhhhhhh...well..."and that isn't what we want or need at all. Be patient...not too patient...but be patient and fair too.

At this stage this protest isnt going in the direction I personally would choose but I said all along that I would support any protest so if there is a paypal account set up I would be willing to contribute to it
The problem though Augie is if we do try and be more forceful in our views it would be a lot more divisive and people who have some concerns about some of the club's policies may be put off supporting our cause. I think the aims and concerns which we have gone for are pretty spot on and a lot of gooners do share similar views and will sign onto this imo more than something more forceful :barscarf:

I understand that point and am willing to concede on it which is why I will contribute financially. However if it ever gets to the point where we are gonna do a proper protest at a game then I will be over if possible 8)

the club cannot milk us anymore to satisfy their need to be succesfull off the field without some reward back.

i just want our arsenal back :barscarf:
Unless the Club changes the Investment Policies drastically on their own those two sentences will be at the heart of this movement going forward.

And they are arguments that will win sympathy for us - the notion that the club has forgotten the supporters and even lost its respect for them is a very strong theme, as is that of whether the club is doing its best to give the supporters the best team it can or just looking for bigger proftis or savings. I don't think we will just be laughed it at the end of the day, because we are taking on universal issues really in football.

Just had a thought.

If we want to get Wenger's attention, there is a very simple way to do it.

GET TO A RESERVE GAME. PUT UP ONE OF THE GROUP'S BANNERS ON THE EAST TERRACE HOARDING. WENGER WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MISS IT FROM WHERE HE SITS IN THE MAIN STAND.

NEXT RESERVE GAME IS TUESDAY 5TH APRIL V SUNDERLAND AT UNDERHILL (BARNET).

Stewarding is woefully poor, and there are no police normally.

great idea. But you know what wenger's like, after the game an interviewer may bring up the subject of the banner and he could easily reply: "I didn't zee it".

@us martin

would prefer not to discuss this thread with you.

reasons being...i can and have since page 1 been able to see what you're doing.

your own means of protest have won you no allies so you have decided to jump on this bandwagon.problem being,it didnt start as you wanted exactly(ie it was wenger is to blame)

however, you have subtly tried to steer it towards the board the whole time whilst not one mention of the guy refusing to spend the cash.

your signature may aswell say this is a pro-wenger movement as thats what you really mean.

not arguing about it,just think you're trying to be clever about turning it slowly slowly in your own direction because it has much more support than your own 'movement' ever had and at somepoint a crossroads will be reached when the fact the man buying the current crop of shit wearing our shirt that is to blame and everyone else in the movement realises it and you will be on your todd again

if im wrong then good luck to ya
phew,deep breath :D

great idea frank

this is more like the ideas that originally got me interested.he needs a message aimed at him personally cos i really think he's clueless as to how we feel about him.
then, so would you be if whilst getting beat in a shameful manner by your nearest enemy at home for the 1st time in 17 years all you can hear from the stands is
"arsene,give us a wave
arsene arsene, give us a wave"

failing that, you could always give him a dry slap or chuck one of pat's earings at him

in all seriousness, if you're gonna take more of a front seat in this than i'm all for it.

nothing against quartz and steve who clearly have a way with words but i'd rather a bit more action. never understood a strongly worded letter!! he'd just chuck it in the bin and carry on buffing his diamond encrusted loafers.

im a season ticket holder and am willing to stay in or walk out or whatever(obviously only when we cany mathmatically win it anymore)
just dont like the way others are steering this thing now.
think the reason your original post got such a response was for these reasons

Direct Action is the way changes will be forced. First we need to get a message out there, and garner some support for the Group. Can't be putting the cart before the horse.

If we push the button now, we'll just get blown out of the water. I still stand by my original post though. Doing something at London Colney, the AGM, and now Reserve Games will get us noticed. Nothing we do at the Grove will get us noticed.

THE GROVE IS THE PROBLEM.

You're just full of crap. I'm not going to re-has all this but as i said months go in promoting the petition efofort. "If you are in the Wenger Knows camp you should sign the petition, and if you are in the Wenger Out Camp you should sign the petition.

The reason was simple and its the same now - we don't know why these are decisions are bing made or by who. Our goal is that we make different decisions in these regards, and that was my goal all along.

I support any changes that need to be made that will lead to changes in the lack of investment in the team. I simply don't want us to make the mistake of ignoring a possible reason and thus we end up supporting change for change's sake only. I want to make sure we achiive positive change, whatever is required to achieve it.

If what I am on the record as believing is confirmed to have validtity I am sure we will as a group react to that the same way we would if those on the record as believeing the manager is solely are proven correct. We all united in wanting the problems corrected, so our personal views are irrelevant now.
