Latest BSM Banner

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Latest BSM Banner

Post by Reg Niseth »

As has been mentioned to two groups have different goals. The BSM has a wider remit and maybe appeals to a different generation of Arsenal fans.

We're looking at a closer tie between fans and the club (as it used to be), the marketing and promotion of the club, ticket prices etc.

I'm not sure how much the banner cost us, but the money was raised by selling scarves and hats on the website to obtain a 'fighting fund'. Thankfully we had a generous contact to begin with.

If we can work together with other groups then maybe the voice that is growing louder will eventually be heard.

We are seen as a long term movement. AFCnotPLC will have got what it wants if the club spend big in the summer. God knows what would happen if we went on and won the league.

Good luck

That is absolutely quality mate, what game is it gonna make it's debut at?

I'm not speaking for the others, but I do think that there is scope for ArsenalFCNotPLC to definitely help out/merge the BSM as a lot of us (especially myself) agree with a lot of the views of the BSM and we do have similar objectives :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

This is the first I have heard of this. God the amount of stick the Mancs got for waving those silly green and yellow scarves. God help us if we do the same.

Disappointed has two p's if you want to edit the opening page on that site.....

If it goes up at the Grove i give it 5 minutes before its removed by stewards...... What are the rules on this sort of thing do they have the right to remove and keep/destroy banners?

I think it is a great banner but sadly you will see it taken down pretty sharpish when the board see it. I dont think as stewards they will have much choice.

Agreed, get it seen at the remaining away games because the Stasi will confiscate it inside the grove. Good work though.

good banner and i think that the afc not plc might be better to sign up with the bsm as one united voice is better then 2 small voices been barely heard.

To be honest, Black scarf don't need any help from us. They've already got a lot of followers and I don't see how merging would help either of us!!!

We're not exactly competing and BSM are more of a long term protest, trying to change the whole club for the better.

Sorry but I'm not interested in buying big to win things. That's how Chelski, Utd, Man city operate and the trophies they win owe nothing to skillful management (City yet to achieve this mock status).

I agree with spending but in moderation.

When we win things it actually means something (although the media overlook it) as we do it the proper way.

when we win a trophy we will truly have the right to say we did it so stuff all you big spenders and small rich clubs. they are short term. We are in it for the long haul (thats why Anfield 89 and the invincibles teams deserve so much respect as do the respective managers).

The banner I have had done Reads
History Made Never Bought around the classic 1930s badge.

We should be proud of the way we operate. Some careful spending from Arsene will do the job.

Lets not go down the short term route that all the mickey mouse clubs like Chelsea are doing. Their honours mean nothing due to the way they have bought them.

Some of us are used to waiting 18 years for a league title.

Keep the faith.

Arsenal, Built not bought.

What fleecing supporters week in week out, spending no money, winning fuck all, lying to supporters, alienating the traditional fanbase.

Open your eyes mate. As long as the club can keep people like you on board by convincing you the way we operate is somehow more honourable than others, they will keep filling their pockets and nothing will change.

WHERE IS THE FUCKING MONEY GOING?????????

If it's sensible spending then I'm happy with that.

If we ever start shelling out £40/£50M on individual players then I won't be seen at THOF again.

If Arsene manages to win the prem this year it would be a truly great achievement which would mean so much to all of us because he has not followed the moronic short term success ethos epitomised by Chelski and City.

The only possible problem is that if we did win it this year he may feel his squad is adequate. That is where I do not follow Arsene's logic.

Arsenal FC is a proper football club init for the long term.

A bit of flexibility and humility from wenger is all that's required.
