WEST BROM AWAY. CAN IT GET ANY WORSE?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I don't know why I bother. Just got home at 10:15pm after watching a complete load of shite and spending a fucking fortune. I could list all the same old arguments from before and probably today but i can't be arsed anymore.

I have decided that I am going to spend the remainder of the my cash and time I have this season with my family. fuck em.....

Having just watched the game I can honestly say that in 40 years of watching football I have never seen a more monumental fuck up from a goalkeeper.

I cannot even begin to understand why a keeper rushes out of his area to try to get the ball away from an attacker and defender who are a few feet apart at least 25 yards from goal!? I am flabberghasted by that. Almunia should NEVER play for our team again, even if it means asking Bob Wilson to go in bloody goal.
The general standard of defending was appalling with the CB's totally at fault for the first goal, Sagna yet again getting caught out which is happening more and more, and the likes of Ramsey who was nowhere for the first goal when he was supposed to be marking Reid. Yes it's his first game back but you're either ready or you're not.

It was bad to watch at the time and ten times worse on TV. After Barca everyone said he was great BUT wondered when the next fuck up would come. Well we did not have to wait long :banghead: :banghead:

What a day. I had to take 17 trains, 6 buses & a boat via Tasmania just to get to Brum only to watch us serve up pure dross for 60 mins before we even begun to play. What motivates this bunch? Christ, you'd never think from looking at them that we were trying to win the league. Denilson, fuck me. How is this guy still getting playing time. Each time I see him play i'm convinced i've seen his worst ever game only for him to totally surpass that the following week.

Almunia, dear oh dear. To be expected though. The worst Utd side in years & we still can't catch them. If we'd spent properly last summer & bought in genuine, proven, quality players & cut free some of the dead wood we'd have pissed this league.

Unfortunately today in a nutshell summed up exactly why we won't win it. Laborious, one dimensional & embarassing at the back.

I keep hearing ther Beatles classic and Paul singing

"I've got to admit it's getting better (Better)
A little better all the time"

as John sings

"It can't get much worse"

Wonder how that song would have turned out had they been Gooners and written it now

Simple. It would go like this:

"I've got to admit it's getting worse (Worse)
Much much worse all the time"

as John sings

"It can't get any better"

Sdalt it the REAL ONE thing this team doesn't have, I worked many many years ago with a boss just like him, nothing he said anybody really cared about anymore.

Only hope come the summer, that the club look at the general picture and poor state of the squad. The First XI is probably not that bad, but the support cast is sadly lacking.

Espeically when you consider how poorly the rest of the title chasers have performed this season...

Denilson must have been pissing himself laughing when he saw Almunia muck up for the second time. It would take the spotlight off him. He was embarrassing in that first half.

ya man but I dun carry any hope that the club would do something about it comes summer. They would think we were so close to winning something this season and next season will be our breakthrough season.
